Look, I'm not against players having some kind of compensation, but I think this is getting ridiculous when players start demanding $4 million dollars. There's a huge difference between fair compensation and straight-up cash grabs. And when money gets too loud, the love for the game, team loyalty, and school pride will get drowned out. It shifts the whole vibe of college football, which used to be more about heart than checks.
The system needs some kind of structure. Otherwise, it becomes a bidding war and turns college sports into a mini-NFL, where the highest bidder wins the best roster. Like with anything, balance is key. In my opinion though, no college kid needs to be getting $4 million to play. That kind of money warps priorities real quick.
