Dude, he's not Barry Sanders. If you got Parsons coming after you and a DB spying he aint outrunning anyone.

He doesn't need to be Barry Sanders. If he's faster than the player spying him, he will outrun them. Did you not just watch him run at will to end the game?

He ran at will with nobody paying attention to him. Jared Goff could have done that.

Today yes, but continues? No he’s been used properly most games not today though I agree.
Only time he was used properly is when they were forced to use him at DE. They are going to strip this guy of the DPOY award.

How about Dlaw and Gregory set the edge and rush with discipline? Those two should be able to get pressure without Parsons.

I remember there was a thread about our pass rush with getting DLaw and Gregory back. @CoachD you know anything about that?

You could drop anyone into middle zone. He needs to rush the passer end of story. It would be like having randy moss and ask him to keep blocking.
Well he's not just a pass rusher, did you see what happened when he wasn't spying on Murray, number 1 would take off. He's a good rusher but better football player most games you play him where you need him and where it benefits the team most

Ehhh, maybe but he also made a bunch of big plays from his LB spot that likely would have gone for bigger plays if he wasn't in that role.

He made a big play in the red zone from his LB position that no other player on the defense would have made. You have him rushing the passer there, that's likely a TD.
When he hits you, you go down quickly!!!!!

you dont just rush Parsons all the time

he is still a LB with LB duties

what makes him special is not knowing when hes going to rush or drop in coverage

Does TJ Watt line up at ILB? How bout Jaylen Ramsey, does he play safety? Why not??? Pass Rusher is the number one spot on Defense. We have the best pass rusher in the NFL and we move him all round and tell people he’s better that way. So dumb!!!!!!!!!

Yeah because when you do rush him all the time he is phenomenal and when you let him play inside linebacker it gives the opposing offense a chance.

Id hate to send the best pass rusher in football at the QB consistently. It’s better to only do it every now and then.

People do realize parsons has more snaps as a pass rusher than snaps in coverage, right?

Those thinking he only rushes a handful of times per game are mistaking.

My guess is we will have another year of this before they will realise he needs to be on the edge full-time

Every time he was asked to make the play he did. He should have been chasing him down. But cards line was holding. Held D-Law in the end zone..
