Translation: ‘If the defense wasn’t on the field the entire night and the offense did literally anything for us, we could win that’

That’s hilarious. As a 49er fan, of course I was happy to see the win, and had to talk a little trash. That said, it was a little depressing watching the effort the Cowboys gave. I tuned in expecting to see a good old fashioned mid-90s style donnybrook, and instead watched a team get beat down, and cry uncle. Big letdown, the Cowboys didn’t even belong in the same stadium, and I feel bad saying that.
Thank you. I felt awful watching it. Wanted a classic game, too. That first TD pass was reminiscent of The Catch. I had a bad feeling after that.
49ers are clearly better.

What a dumb comment from MP. But it is revealing of the mindset of our “leaders”
Yep,
Sounded almost like a Jerry coached PR marketing attempt to assure us fans that all is well.

Not too long ago our best player would not have publicly rationalized poor performance but owned it, been genuinely pissed off and vow to do his best to fix it.

Now he sounds like Dak.

Not a very reassuring feeling from my perspective.

Self-delusion denies self-reflection. Instead of looking at why you got your butts handed to you, you rationalize it, convincing yourself you're better than you are.

This is not a recipe for growth. It's just going back to Frisco, getting your usual rock star treatment, and pretending it didn't happen...until it happens, again.
Truly. Zip it Parsons. You're losing credibility.

Parsons is absolutely correct. The 49ers aren't a level higher than Dallas. THEY'RE TWO FULL LEVELS HIGHER, MICAH .

Parsons doesn't care...he knows he will still finish with 13+ sacks this season and that's all that matters. People will keep calling him the next Lawrence Taylor just for the sacks, regardless of team success and if the defense is bad. He knows Dan Quinn's "scheme" will allow him to get plenty of sacks!

And I don’t think the Cowboys are on another level than the Giants.

Lmao! And this is part of our problem. Convincing ourselves we’re an elite team. Can you imagine practice this week of Jimmy was still the coach. Instead it’s back to to Camp Marshmellow where the team can hold hands and reassure each other they’re loved and in a safe place. Lol! Jesus this **** gets old.
