Parsons is not built to be dominant pass rusher

I love Micah and his play but we are seeing the reality of his limitations as a Dominant pass rusher.
He lacks the overall size to be in the league of great Pass Rushers.
Teams have clearly figured out how to neutralize him and it's obvious that he is not totally healthy.
The season and wear and tear has clearly taken a toll on him. It's hard to expect someone his size, kind of a tweener of a LB and a DE to handle the pounding.
He is getting no help from the interior of the Line and from the other Side DE's and teams can just focus on stopping him without much worry about others.

I think he is absolutely built to be a dominant pass rusher, but he is better as a piece that lines up in 2-4 different positions throughout a game.

Especially if LVE is out going forward I think we see him more at LB, which will be better for Parsons. I don't know if this is accurate as I have no idea what the snap counts look like, but it seems like Micah is playing over the LT frequently and Tank is strictly DE on the other side. When this pass rush was really humming Micah played all over, but seemed to really thrive rushing off the RT while Tank frequently lined up at DT on the same side. Things really seemed to have changed once they started getting gashed with the run and had to really adjust after the GB loss. Again not 100% sure that is accurate, I haven't rewatched games the last few weeks like I usually do, so I could be off, but this defense seems to be a lot more predictable right now by sticking with the same alignments. That makes it a whole lot easier to prepare for a Micah Parsons and the rest of this pass rush.

DQ is in a tough spot, especially with the injuries continuing to be a growing issue. You start to wonder if he doesnt just say **** and let this pass rush loose again. May not be the best idea with SF and Philly in the conference, but it might also be the only chance this team has.

Why is he too small and Von Miller is just fine?

Micah is 6'3" 245lbs. Von is 6'3" and 250.

TJ Watt is listed at 6'4" 252 lbs.

Hassan Reddick is 6'1" 235lbs.

Shaq Barrett 6'2" 250.

I just think teams have adjusted and are living and dying by running the ball and getting rid of the ball quickly. It is almost impossible to sack guys when this is the case.

Von is hurt... TJ Watt plays in a 3-4 and is an OLB... big difference

He’s fine
He and our genius DC need to understand that games are won by discipline and consistency and not by individual stats and flash plays or playing players out of position
Micah is a rush LB not a DE

And TJ and Von both have ALL pros Defensive MVP's and dominant years.

Guys are always going to get injured, but if they are dominant, they are dominant.

Micah was dominant last year as a situational guy. He can be full-time in the playoffs. Tj and von can't play mlb

Von blew a knee at 33 yo.

No difference IMO between a 3-4 rush end and a 4-3 end. Especially nowadays when you are playing a nickle most of the time anyway. 3-4 OLB, if anything, need to be bigger anyway.

Micah was more dominant and is still dominant, offenses have just changed vs our defense. I would love to see the numbers for how fast they are getting rid of the ball vs us.

I guarantee they are league-leading Time To Throw against us the last 5 weeks or so.

I think he should be a full time lb'er. He needs time to learn and excel at it.

When looked at as a whole season and not play by play, I don't think the cowboys gain much having him at DE over Sam, Fowler, and Armstrong

I agree teams changed up. I also always believed he needs to learn how to be a MLB.

He doesn’t need to learn to be a LBr. He played it his whole life.

We’re the braintrust org that decided he needed to be a DE.

Remember Quinn is the coach the blew a 25 point super bowl lead in the 4th quarter. He's a good coach...not a great coach. He needs to be surrounded by a good head coach and position coaches. He does not have a good head coach...
