Quickie ........Huge Parsons fan here, love the kid but are we buried so deep to appreciate the impact of his talent? In other words, he's going to cost $35-40M but what good is it if he's trying to carry the defense w/o much help and we still hang around 500 ball? As opposed to trading him to one of the top 5 drafting teams for a couple of 1st round picks. Trust me, I'm looking at this from a pure football point of view ( personality or podcast doesn't bother me ). I would have called this ideal crazy two years ago but also thought we would be closer to a Super Bowl. I would hate to lose him but I also hate to see talent wasted.

While it's gotta be difficult to go from Quinn to Zimm to Eberflus in three seasons... different philosophies.

But in the long term... daaaaang... you have to think he's going to look back 3 or 4 years from now and really benefit....... going to be so versatile/adaptable.

Most of you guys were willing to give Zimmer lots of time. E's Lines were always good. The D doesnt have to be special, Its got 3 special players and NO DC has made it special yet so if E can just get solid out of it, we re good.

Our target has to be OC and OLC. IF those two suck, doesnt matter what Es defense is, it will not hold up.

So give it some time and lets see HOW JJ screws it up.

REmember, your angst isnt with the coaches. We ve had good coaches but 1 common demon ator, HE alone holds the fate fo the team.

They did Zim dirty you won’t convince me otherwise. Zim is a good football coach, and I do think Micah responded to the way Zim coaches and it probably made an impact with Micah’s approach to the game and how he plays.

How so?????? Jerry gave him a one-year contract coz MM was lame-duck. A couple of games before the season ended he wasn't sure if wanted to continue coaching. I'm sure he could still get a job as an assistant coach, maybe coordinator if he chooses. He is very good and has lots of friends in the league. The problem is Zimm's interpersonal skills are different.......to be blunt, he is not everyone's cup of tea.

What do you mean how so? Gave him garbage to work with tied his tenure to MM. who cares if he could go get an assistant gig elsewhere, I’m talking about here in Dallas, and so what if he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, look where comfort has gotten this franchise. They did that man dirty.

Zimm isn’t just leaving Dallas. The man is retiring.

He is getting married again after being a widower and going through a ton of pain in his family, and Lord knows there is more to life than a game.

Micah will be fine and should wish Mike the best as he heads into a new chapter in his life.

You guys have to stop this trading Parson fantasy. Its not happening. Even if it did, trading Parsons sinks us deeper. It does help us close the gao
