Parsons's brother Zimm's loss hurts

You guys have to stop this trading Parson fantasy. Its not happening. Even if it did, trading Parsons sinks us deeper. It does help us close the gao
Kind of like the Giants not wanting to keep Barkley huh?;)

Thing is, it seems that Barkley was even a favorite of their fans, unlike Parsons...

I don't know a Giants fan that wanted to get rid of Barkley. I did a poll a while ago and half the Cowboys fans wanted to trade Parsons. They say that wanted picks, but they have very unrealistic ideas of the impact those pick will have VS. an MVP caliber player like Parsons

D .....understand it's the last thing I wanted to see happen, I am a huge fan of his here. After seeing where we now stand within the division, my concern is how long it will take to contend again. I initially was thinking 1-2 years but 3-4 seem more realistic ( notice Shotty's 4 year deal ). IF that's the case, I have reservations about whether or not Jerry can/will put enough talent around him to appreciate his impact. Otherwise, he is just a player collecting stats.

Check this out......I know some are saying it doesn't matter, but many say switching to 3-4 would be huge for Parsons.

I will bet most, if not all had issues with his personality, podcast or the silly notion that he disappears late games or season. As stated my concern is Jerry doing exactly what he's done to Dak ( so far ). Give a record contract and no help. Then when we continue to lose, guess who fans are unfairly going after.

1) The odds you recoup Parsons value in talent is very small. You are going to lose that trade. You trade to get better not worse. The Parsons trade talk is silly because you dont get better, and the Cowboys going to anyways

2) People keep bringing up the 3-4. 3-4 VS 4-3 is irrelevant these days. "3-4" play with 4 down lineman in Nickel and Dime now. Even 3-4 arent real 3-4 teams. If we switched to a 3-4, Parsons hand is in the dirt 70% of the time

Hiring Eberflus is a terrible call in terms of maximising Micah's abilities.

Most thought getting draft picks for him was better than what we would get for him. They need to go look at what Oakland wound up with in the Khalil Mack trade

2) No, it is relevant.

In terms of the draft and free agency the players you need are different.
In a 3-4 you have much more flexibility in how to use Micah

Eberflus/Marinelli scheme is a bend don't break, conservative scheme that does not work late in the season when DT'S are worn down. Big is Better. When you have a player like Parsons your DEF should be more aggressive in scheme.

Crazy in my opinion to continue with a scheme that has not worked in the past.

Meh, if Parsons stays we don't sniff a super bowl. If Parsons goes, we don't sniff a super bowl.

Ok so when would you say is the leagues best pass rusher in a 3-4 defense

He has some decent videos out there, but I wouldn't put too much stock into Akoye when he starts talking about containment. His videos from earlier in the year suggest he is stuck in 20 years in the past on how teams take on containment. He threw a lot of DEs under the bus because he doesn't understand pretty basic gap exchange concepts.

I know 1 thing. Zimmer is a better coordinator than eberflus. People got mad at Zimmer playing dbs off? Well........here's Marinelli Jr. Enjoy
Yeah, this is gonna be one of those 3- 0 preseasons, and then O- 17 LOL

TJ Watt's been pretty good over the course of his career
TJ played over 900 snaps on the defensive line according to PFF.

3-4 teams only play run downs in a 3 man front, which is a very small percentage of plays. Nickel nd Dime, which teams are in 80%, 3-4 teams use a 4 man front. 3-4 VS. 4-3 isnt really relevant on 80% of the plays. Its only relevant on obvious run downs

That works two ways D..........him on a team w/o enough talent to contend is just as bad, is it not? For example, as good as T.J. Watt has been, he's never won a playoff game or Myles Garrett buried with a Browns team. Look, I think we both want the same thing......Parsons leading this team to the promised land. The difference is I am saying he can't do it alone regardless of how much you pay him. If you are not going to get him the help he needs, why bother?

He gives you a chance to contend. Look at our defense him VS. without. You build around him. Not get rid of him. Getting rid of him only sinks you deeper

They were 31st in points allowed. Reminder:there's 32 teams..

He may be looking back at the last 3 years thinking to himself whiskey tango foxtrot am I doing here?"

I have no doubt #11 wants to win. People may get what they ask for with not having to put up with his podcasts when it's contract time...

Sad thing is if he only wants to stay for the money, I think Jerry likes him so logic goes out the window when contracts talks are up and going...
Micah needs to be the solution. He must stop the whining and do his damn job at a highest level in the biggest moments. No matter the DC. Wanna be considered the best, BE THE BEST. Show us.
