As I always testified before Dallas Police officers who pulled me over on NW Highway after a long night at tittie bars back in the halcyon days of Dallas tittie bars like 5-10 years ago (Men's Club, the old Baby Dolls on NW Highway, the more recent Silver City of the early aughts, Cabaret Royale (Cabaret Royale has really held its own over the years, too smallish club though, and BTW all the Million Dollar Saloons dancers have relocated there in the last few weeks since MDS closed over on Greenville, and CR is a Burch-owned club like MDS is/was ... Cabaret must be even better now!) ... sorry boy that's a long clause for you English majors to diagram ... anyway I would say:

"Officer, I can't AFFORD to get drunk at $8 per beer at these clubs!" ...

"OK buddy just a warning this time ..." Officer Friendly sez ..

... That $8-per-beer excuse is going to be the alibi for all the Party Pass people ... and it might work !!!!

(... P.S. I still don't like The Lodge as an overall club even though that's the only decent place to go nowadays I've heard, I hate the layout there and all the girls are in the VIP and you never see them come downstairs either so you don't know what talent is around, unless you pop for big $ ....)
