If the Cowboys have already sold 20,000 party passes...ontop of the 80,000 regular seats, thats 100,000(i know look at me i'm a mathematician) screaming fans.

Who all is going to buy a party pass for the home opener? I definitely want to go, but I haven't gotten around to buying a pass just yet.

The concept just sounds awesome for someone who is broke, likes to stand at games anyways, and likes to drink haha.

Just another excuse for me to tailgate! :starspin

I really like the idea. I'd want to walk around and see the new digs anyway, but I can do it for much cheaper. I can use that extra money for the expensive food. :D

Ha Ha, no doubt man, gives more more money for parking and tailgating, i can justif 50-60 bucks for a whole days worth of entertainment when its the Cowboys, but last year i was spending $150 each time i went to a game and that was a bargain, but still outta my price range now.

Does anyone have or know where I can find pictures of where you get to stand if you buy one of these passes?

Are these party passers going to be standing on a sloped area, or will it be flat? I just envisioned it as being flat with railing. Like a perfect place for a Who concert-like tragedy.

i was thinking about getting a party pass, but dont like the ideal of standing up for a solid 4 hours;

and youll probably be in the nose bleed section too;

Here's some pics from when some friends and I went to the Chelsea v. America game.

The first pic if from our seats on the lower level. You can see in the background the 3 levels of lobbies you will be able to access.

The second pic, I think is from the ground lobby. It's a good view especially for $30.

From what I've heard about party passes is that you have access to all the lobbies and they will show the game outside too.

Edit: I guess I don't know how to post pics, so here is a link to them.

apparently you get access to all 3 tiers on each end The staircases leading to each level also have standing areas on each side of the decks so that's an additional 10 areas to see the game from. IF you get in the right area you can definitely see the field. Otherwise you can just see the video boards. Will be interesting to see how it goes down.

Another Cowboys Stadium Innovation: The Stadium Nomad

Hey, you! Yes you, Mr. Everyman! Wanna go to the Cowboys’ luxe new stadium, but just don’t think you can afford it? Well, I’m here to tell you that you are WRONG. Jerry Jones and company have compassion for you peasants out there. That’s why they’re offering tickets to the first home game at the new stadium for the low, low price of $29. Provided that you’re willing to eschew pesky amenities, such as chairs.

Yes, it’s the new Cowboys Stadium “Party Passes”. Wooo! Look at me! I’m being festive via three hours of standing! The tickets are $29 and are on sale now for the team’s first two preseason games and the Sept. 20 opener against the Giants. Jerry Jones tells Bloomberg that he hopes the Party Passes will help the Cowboys set the NFL’s single game attendance record. The team plans on selling 15,000 to 35,000 of them. That’s 35,000 people potentially walking around the new stadium looking for a wall to lean against, or lining up eight deep on the gangways to get a view of the team in action. Jones tells Bloomberg the new digs have more than enough space to accommodate all the hot standing room only action:

With 180,000 square feet (17,000 square meters) of free space, the stadium can accommodate more standing-room-only fans than any other NFL venue. The open areas are behind seats in each end zone and on a series of six elevated platforms connected by stairways.

"More fans can be at the stadium and, although they won’t all have a seat, they will definitely be a part of the action and experience on game day,” Jones said.

I’m not wild about that quote from the Double J. That’s just the sort of thing Michael Bay tells his extras via bullhorn before releasing a jerry-rigged tidal wave on them. “You are part of the magic, people!” One ticket broker has already called BS on Jones’ claims:

That may not be enough, said Hank Wendorf, owner of Dallas-based Ticketsource.com. At a recent soccer game at the Cowboys’ stadium, only the first two or three rows of people had a direct view from the platforms, he said.

“You leave to get a drink and your spot is gone,” Wendorf said. No other NFL team is selling anywhere close to the number of standing seats that the Cowboys are, he said.

I can see the appeal of plunking down 30 bucks to take a gander at the fancy new stadium and maybe watch a few minutes of the action. But that’s about all the action you’re going to get with these Party Passes.

Keep your expectations low, folks. Buy one, and you are mere stadium filler. You won’t get a good, consistent spot to watch the game, and your feet will die by sometime around the third quarter. And if you’re short, or a child, then you’re screwed. You’re gonna spend a whole lot of time craning your neck, standing on tiptoes, or doing that thing short people do where they try and see stuff through an open slit between two taller, clearly handsomer people such as myself.

Paying the lowest ticket price also likely assures that you won’t be allowed to have access to some of the more loungey parts of the stadium, with the cozy leather chairs and what not. You will be a stadium nomad, trying in vain to have as much fun as someone who paid full price and failing. There’s also the tiny little detail that, if you have no seat, you’re going to spend much more time walking around concessions, and will therefore end up buying more stuff, perhaps spending more money than if you had ponied up for a designated ***-space.

So there you go, $29 for all the krayzee “partying” you can handle. No word yet on if the team will allow you to sleep on a pile of spread out newspapers on the concourse floor.

He fails to point out that there are going to be screens everywhere. You can even go outside and watch the game on one of the huge screens on the stadium. Yes you won't see the actual field as much, but you will not miss the game.

I thought about that, but it's no substitute for seeing the game on the field. I don't envision a lot of people shelling out $ and putting up with traffic/parking just to watch the game on a screen. That's what living rooms are for.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. But I guess it's paying for the experience. You know the tailgate, being surrounded by cowboys fans, and saying you were there. Being a UT student, I think it tailers more towards the younger, broker fan. I don't mind standing up for a couple hours with a buncha of my friends, tailgating and watching the game on a big screen. I just hope the lines for the port-o-potties in the parking lots aren't as bad as they were at Texas Stadium.

NO TAILGATING!! That's blasphemy. There will probably be a designated area, couple hundred feet away from the stadium.
