Murray's last four carries went for a total of minus-1 yards.

He got the ball on second-and-4 from the Eagles' 21 and lost 4 yards.

He got the ball on second-and-9 from the Eagles' 19, nearly got dropped for a huge loss and ended up with no gain.

He got the ball on first-and-10 to start a possession and got 1 yard.

And he got the ball on third-and-3 from the Eagles' 42 and gained only 2.

He was also running out of spread and shotgun formations.

That's dumb.

Give him a fullback and let him grind away! Good lord, our coach is stupid.

Til the last pass, what did it matter? Limited time & needed to get in FG range to win it.

Minus the last pass, not seeing how throwing it that many times was an issue. Running the ball wasn't going to get us in FG range & handing it off to Murray doesn't AUTOMATICALLY mean he's gaining yards Or HOLDING ONTO THE BALL. The game was within reach. Turnovers were the story of this game. 2 of them ( the first 2 ) resulted in the Eagles scoring 10pts.

Yes the game was in reach for more runs to be called. You're right. I don't expect you to see the benfits of running more than 6 times in a half or once in the 4th. You've made it perfectly clear you don't mind .500 ball with a pass happy philosophy.

Orton gets 45 attempts in a game that was never outta reach. You kidding me?! Keep thinking were a passing team and expect more of the same. This is and will be our biggest liabilty if we continue to think were a team better suited to pass to victories. Its almost getting comical, Garrett, Callahan and Romo have to be divorced!

I don't mind doing either, so long as it keeps us in the game & it did. Running the ball did result in a turnover, unless you forgot that stat.

Or have you forgotten that we lost and turned it over twice passing vs the 1 lost fumble all season?

Murray only averaged 3 yards a carry and turned it over. He also seemed to fade towards the end. Running is not always the answer.

Garrett is never the answer unless the question is how do you consistently go 8-8.

Doesn't matter if it was the "1 lost fumble all season", it was still a lost fumble.

Same could have happened had we ran it.

And you base this on the 1 fumble lost the entire season that happened in the last game of the season? Thats a great indicator that more fumbles were to come in the 2nd half

Thats not to say that more would have happened but that they could have happened. We'll never know.

In fairness I don't think the fumble had anything to do with it. We have abandoned the run after the 2nd quarter all season, fumbles or no.

I just didn't think Garrett would do it with the 2nd string QB who hasn't really played in 3 years.

Well we do know that 2 passes were turned over for sure, don't we?! Guess will have to wait another offseason to see if they've gotten any clue after another wasted season. Oh well, huh?! Here to the offseason!!!

1500 yards rushing for 2013...over 600 yards short of where they were in 2009 (only playoff win). To be or not to be...that is the question that NEVER seems asked, let alone answered.
