While the Titans do not pose a real threat in the passing game to me, the rest of the opponents can absolutely light up the scoreboard through the air... I honestly do not like the lack of pressure on QBs the past three games, with Lawrence's shoulder injury and Irving's high ankle sprain (I purposely failed to mention Gregory because he hasn't done much anyway) this doesn't bode well for the Cowboys.

Thoughts?

Everyone other than Lawrence has been a big disappointment, and even Lawrence himself has slowed after a great start. I had much higher expectations for this group and they continue to disappoint.

My thoughts are our pass rush is overrated. Lawrence apparently was allowed to pass on getting his torn labrum fixed in the offseason. Taco has not progressed in year 2, Gregory is the same all hype prospect he's been in the league and Irving is never on the field.

Pass rush was mediocre last year. It's mediocre again this year. Taco is trending to bust status. Gregory looks like a guy who hasn't played football in a few years. Has Armstrong even played? If he hasn't, maybe it's time because the other two are doing jack squat.

Also why I think trading that #1 pick for Cooper was stupid, especially when the homers were claiming it was OK because we were going to use that first round pick on a WR anyway.

No we weren't. I'd sure as crap like to have that #1 pick to draft a guy like Ferrell from Clemson or another of the top DEs.

Funny thing, according to some of the advanced stats, we are one of the most effective blitzing teams. But we rarely do it. Maybe that's why it's effective. Teams are stunned we try it.

Really disappointing that Taco has shown next to nothing thus far this in his 2nd year....is there any position this coaching staff can coach up?

My thought is how many times Jeff Heath is going to get burnt playing against all these great passing teams.

It's sad that Gregory and Irving are injured. That would be a wicked rotation. I don't expect Gregory to play tonight, and I'd let him rest and get ready for next week. We'll just have to hope Taco and DLaw can put some pressure on some of these good QBs. Maybe send Jaylon as well.

Well Lawrence shoulder injury is affecting his play but yes overall it hasn't been what I expected. Taco specifically needs to either perform better or let the rookie from Kansas get more reps.

I definitely want Dorance Armstrong on the field more. The good news is there is great defensive depth in the 2019 draft which is one of the main reasons they were willing to give up a 1st for Cooper so I am good with that.

It was dumb to give up a 1st for Cooper.

This franchise never learns.

No way, McClay is a genius and we re the Cowboys, we got this for no other reasons.

Technically its not so much McClay, but i just wanted to throw that in.

DC Richard has this. Rod is being the gentlemen but next year those players are going to have to get after Qbs or go home.

some rumors they may bring in recently cut Bruce Irvin..just a rumor but we could use a body and vet would be nice.. what happened to the younger guys..hmm..

We’ll be fine. Only a couple of sacks separate this team from the top-10 in the league in sacks.

I am OK with it only because of the defensive draft class coming up in 2019. There will be some studs sliding into the 2nd round.

you mean giving up a first round pick to miss the play offs wasnt brilliance.

I disagree Good Sir

Good day!!!!!!!!!!!

I definitely wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Bruce Irvin.
