So, from 12 to 21 I netted a 3rd and 4th round pick, plus the sim gave me a 3rd and 4th for 2026.

I actually drafted three backs with the intention of getting younger and reinventing the RB room altogether.

One of my favorite picks? Luke Lachey from Iowa.

I keep seeing Blue late in the sims as well and for that kind of speed I’m throwing that dart. Someone will draft him early however because of it.
Why?
Nathaniel Peat ran faster, has similar size and college production and he went undrafted.
Besides being overrated by Longhorns fans what makes Blue anything other than another gimmick back you drop a late pick on!

Good effort. Some of my thoughts:

-Think taking Maxwell at 21 is a big reach, he isn't as good as the top corners in this class, despite his testing numbers.
-Like Robinson, but we really need a run NT over another 3T.
-Knight in the 5th round? Many view him as a day 2 pick.

Good draft, very nice first 6 picks are solid. How are you doing today Pass2Run.

Doing good.Looking forward to the draft if you can't tell. Hoping we get some star players.

I probably got too crazy drafting 3 RBs. But Blue was still on the board. Just having fun with it.

This shows me we likely can get good runners later in the draft though.

You?

Yep, I think Timb2 was onto something. Maybe not round 1, but he likely won't be that late.

Has some Gibbs to his game.

Good draft, the Ty Robinson pick is hurting my eyes tho, lol. Cowboys need a 1T bad, and Robinson is a 3T.
Yeah, but I'm just trying to fill some holes and upgrade the team. We still have FA and UDFA.

I probably shouldn't have taken 3 backs, because that would never happen. We'd have a diverse running back by committee though.

A few things. 1) Golden doesn't do it for me. Not because he won't be good. But he had the benefit of playing with another legitimate receiving threat in Bond. Plus, Texas' TE wasn't too shabby, not to mention their backs. The team was loaded. That's why he looks so open sometimes.

I'm obviously higher on Hairston than a lot, but I've dug around to check if I'm out of my mind, and there are others here who also like him. To me, he's CB1. Still has room to develop. And he showed he can do that at Kentucky. Coaches there call him the best DB in school history.

Lastly, Lachey and Verdon may not be day 1 starters, but I like both as STers with developmental upside.

Verdon is a baller. He has some dog in him, although he needs to add some strength for the next level.

One other thing from my perspective. I really like Cody Lindenberg. He had some injuries in college, which will impact his draft stock. But at the very least he'd be an above average STer off the rip. He plays the run well. But if you look closely, he's also got some pass rush moves, especially for a LB.

Smart aggressive player. One way to get better at stopping the run is to have smart LBs with good instincts. Lindenberg had that in spades.

Same here want to see Dallas win number 6.

I got to agree with Hairston being a big reach. Most had him rated early 3rd before the combine. Other than he ran fast what changed?
He’s still only 183lbs which in itself limits him to slot and that’s before you consider he doesn’t tackle, plays poorly vs run tending to dive at the runners feet and he had chronic shoulder issues last season!
If im going to reach it would be for Reval or even Barron!
