Passes to Roy today?

I took a little grief last week for suggesting that we'd get Ogletree more involved this week (at the expense of Roy). Romo overthrew Tree for what would have been a TD at one point and Tree had 1 catch for 15. Roy had NO catches but I only saw him targeted once.

Anyone have any idea how many passes went his way for the game?

Roy sitting on the sidelines while Otree was in, says a lot. Its so strange to say it, but O-Tree brings more to the club right now that RW does.

:(

RW can't ever get off press coverage. He doesn't fight hard off the line. The DB's are just out physicaly'n him to the routes.

I bring more to the club right now than RW does.

I said last week that Tree brings more to the table than Roy right now, but even I was surprised to hear Troy (or was it Joe Buck?) say the same thing today. Maybe Jerry is waking up.

It killed me to have Troy remind me that we could've had Boldin for what we gave for Roy. Why in the world would Jerry take Roy over Boldin? I don't get it. Never will.

ONE: up the sideline when Romo thought Roy was going to run an out toward the pylon he cut back in.....I hate Buck but he said it's "embarassing" for RW right now and the bastid is right......

I saw that one and assumed I had missed others. That he was targeted on ONE pass while our undrafted free agent was targeted at least twice is telling. Have to wonder what the cap implications of trading (or cutting) Roy would be.

In the long run it maybe better that he did. Austin may have never developed into what he is with Boldin here as he plays a lot more physical than Williams and would have made a difference then. Now Austin has developed into a legitimate threat and Williams hopefully will be something next year for them. This year is a wash but next year seeing how his playing time is slowly diminishing he will have to work on all those things he took for granted over the years and step his game up by learning how to be a complete receiver or be gone.

Only the Roy Williams fan club members do that. O-Tree needs to be use more and happy the Coaching staff sees it too.

In one other post I said , Tell Roy no juking, He just can't fool anyone. If he has any speed do a go route or a slant. No Juking or double moves.

They need to bench Roy. The guy is probably the 5th best WR in the team. Sam Hurd is a better option. I would go with Crayton as the number 2 WR and Ogletree as number 3.

...i've opined before that maybe he just spent too many years in Detroit...you can get away with lackadaisical play...in Dallas, fans and the media won't tolerate it...they are one way or the other going to run him out of town...it may be just a matter of time now...the writing is on the wall and next year is really a judgement year for him...the pressure only gets more intense for him with each drop...the blood is in the water...

...i've been pulling for this guy to step up but if Ogletree is even half of what he's showing then the Cowboys may simply have to move on...it's gonna hurt but i think they will be less reluctant to give a player like Ogletree playing time, considering the frightening emergence of Austin...i would'nt be surprised to see Austin, Ogletree, Crayton as your guys by season's end next year...Crayton really proved his worth in the slot today but Roy can't just be a multi-million dollar decoy...

RW11 needs to be benched. Maybe it will light a fire under him.

Can we get a refund on our money? I can play like he did for $9 mil a year.

Trade him to Oakland for whatever you can get. :lmao:

Seriously, though, Detroit fans warned us about him. He may give you one or two highlights a season, but beyond that he is all hype.

He has played for a season and a half with a QB that makes undrafted FAs look good, and several rookies on other teams have been more productive.

Because Jerry thought it would be awesome to have two people named Roy Williams on the same team. :laugh2:

LOL

Then he should have traded for Anquan Boldin and found some other kid named Anquan Boldin and out him on the team, too.
