While i agree in theory there are other positions that have more cost to benefit ratio for their 2nd contract, the rookie contracts are all on a scale so it doesn't matter.

At 12 you still will get a player top 2 at a position and a lot depends on how the board falls...if you have a trade partner and the board is deep then that's a great spot to trade back, but saying no to him just bc hes a rb is silly....have to play it out

That's interesting, someone who's actually advocating DRAFTING FOR NEED. Drafting a DT or DE at 12, is, by most predictions, is a stretch, even if you picked Kenneth Grant, or Mykel Williams (whom you need to listen to Voch and Broaddus for their fears).

Jeanty will be the best value at 12, if he's not gone and of all the potential fits he will make the biggest difference, he'll help: the run game (regardless of O-LIne) - with his ability after contact and he will give Dak assistance (more so than even a WR) as he'll force Safeties/LB's down and free space in the secondary.

All this and I agree in principle that it should be DEFENSE FIRST DRAFT.....but not if Jeanty's there and if he's gone we want to get out of No.12 AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Exactly. If Jeanty is there at 12 you run that damn card up. The no brainer term in this case would be fitting if we passed on drafting him. In fact, it's dumb. If we have learned anything in this league, a great running back,running team, can mask a lot of needs, shortcomings and get ya alot of wins. Folks are really overthinking themselves. Football is simple.

Man, if Jeanty is there at 12, can't pass on him. A great RB gets alot of touches, thus influences alot of outcomes of games. It's overthinking to pass him up.

No DT’s outside of Graham are worth the 12th pick. I would take Graham in a NY second but we just signed Osa that isn’t happening. It’s Jeanty or bust

Graham is a absolute beast at dt and nobody else at that position is worthy of going top 15. In my opinion. After him, there's a next tier of defensive tackles like Harmon,Grant,collins...then another tier after that like the Oregon kid,Walker, etc

Keeping the chains moving keeps defense fresh. I have heard analysts claim Jeanty is the BPA. I also agree with your idea. If Jeantyis there at 12 I'm ok. He's a damn good player

I want the best possible player at 12. I prefer that player to be a generational star. I think Jeanty will be that. If the Cowboys think another player at a different position will also be a star, I would be ok with that. But, I don't want to skip a generational player just because of position. We only have three big-time players on this team right now, Cee-Dee, Micah, and Tyler. We need more.
