I'm getting the feeling from watching training camp vids and now the latest "pad carrying" ordeal, that Dez's attitude might be a problem. Granted, it's only camp, but his demeanor after some of the catches and when the ball is not thrown to him does not scream team player.
It is obviously WAY early, but this is my gut. He may be very competitive, and i'm reading this all wrong. But my eyes have seen this player before......

Great. So we'll go 9-7 and he'll blow up and all of the pessimistic punks can say they were right about Dez Bryant. What else is new? I mean, at least it'll give us something to complain about.

gotta find something to complain about I guess

Really? I'm not one to complain at all. I'm not lookin for a 9-7 season either. I just said, he may have a bit of an attitude problem. Pure speculation, just wondering if anyone else has seen this as well.

No doom and gloom here folks.

I was being sarcastic, which doesn't seem to come across very well on the innerwebs. That's why you should watch my Youtube shows or listen to my radio shows.

Or, I could just not be sarcastic.

In all seriousness, I heard anything about Dez's attitude other than not carrying Roy Williams' pads.

I guess it's better to have a lazy, care-free demeanor like the one Roy displays.

Dez Bryant's refusal to carry someone else's shoulder pads has not firmly established that he has the wrong attitude. It has established that he does not fully comprehend what tradition may mean to others, in particularly the media and possibly his own teammates.

His passion? I think his passion is unquestionable. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll all see eventually.

Bingo, I honestly dont think he knows how important this traditional stuff is to most people. Hell I would bet he did not even know much about any of the hazing that goes on.

Romo/Witten/Ratliff/Brooking will make sure he learns.
Romo/Witten/Ratliff/Brooking, need to worry about doing their jobs. and leave Dez alone. how about they get on Roy for his sorry play the last 2 years?

I have been listening to Dez talking with reporters after the practice I have yet to hear him say anything that shows he has some messed up attitude yet Every response to questions is done with a respectful yes sir by Dez. Before even the 1st OTA the complaint was he never is on time yet thus far he has been on time and his performance on the field right now has been excellent. Seems peoples own perception is the problem looking for BS that is not there.

Part of their jobs, as team leaders, is guiding young players.

I'm not suggesting that they "get on" Dez, but rather, that they teach him how every single little thing he does will be under a microscope and any "misstep," no matter how small, will become a national story.

Dez is not the first 1st round pick that we have had come in with an attitude. I remember a couple more that I can think of right off hand. And they both have the word "bust" associated with their names. They were a couple of guys named Michael Irvin and Tony Dorsett and of course with them the bust is in Canton, Ohio.

Dez is being harrassed with the "carry my pads" crap from Crayton and Roy Williams. The two guys that his pressence most threatens and the two guys that most want to put him in his place. By refusing to do it he is saying, "I didn't come here to be your *****, I came here to take your job."

Had it been almost any of the other established vets who asked him he probably would have done it and accepted his rookie roll. But not those two guys who were not doing typical rookie hazing. They were playing games that one writer refures to as, "jobsmanship." It is a term for workplace harrasement of ones rivals in order to make them look bad to the boss and/or establish oneself as the superior. I don't think that Dez feels that either Crayton or Williams is his superior...and I agree with him.

What if the player don't want to be guided, and just want to do his job and play football.
