I would be physically upset if this is what we did.

I'm torn to be honest. Allen is just what this defense needs and it wont be many picks after #27 that he is chosen but I just have a hard time wrapping my head around him as a 1st round pick.

That would be a reach. Don't do it Jerry.

I understand what your saying but at the same time it's hard to call it a reach when the guy could go 5-10 picks later. Kind of stuck in the middle when it comes to where we are picking and talking about players like Allen.

So Going with the BPA at this point we would all agree to go with Dez Bryant,
am I correct in assuming?

YESSSSS JERRY, DO IT !!!!!!

Seriously though, it would hardly be a reach considering many teams at the top of the 2nd will more then likely select him. I think he could start day day 1 to. IMO, and I'm probably the only guy who thinks this, there isn't much drop off from ET to Allen. But I also think that if Dez is on the board there, Jerry pulls the trigger.

BTW didn't this guy just to a mock like 2 days ago??

To me, Allen is a solid mid 2 pick. He's a good player but he's not who I would take in that situation. If we could trade down a little and take him, I would be OK with that. With Dez Bryant, Golden Tate, Pouncey, or Charles Brown still on the board, I'd be pretty upset that we took Allen. I just don't believe he's a better value then these other guys. I imagine that there are plent that don't agree with me but I would not be happy. I think this is a player who could be their in the middle of the 2nd Rd. JMO

I agree, if the players you mentioned are still available, then I'd have an issue with the pick, not a big one, but a issue nonetheless.

I would feel alot better with trading out of round 1 and selecting Nate Allen high in the 2nd, and then using the later or mid 2nd for Vladimir Ducasse.

Not bad but I would rather land Allen and Saffold or Pouncey.

Definitely, and then get a WR in the third, like Shipley. I wouldn't be surprised if we took Allen in the first. Everyone wants us to trade down and get him, but you have to have a partner to trade with. If we don't have one, then I don't have a problem with taking him in the 1st. But if Dez Bryant is there, then I sprint to the podium.

Shipley is the next Ed McCaffey.
