which is understandable as the networks want younger announcers.

And as for Buck..he just plays a straight man for Troy Aikman now and that's his role he fits best.

Where I really don't like Buck is when he does baseball..he always sounds like he's got the inside slant on some topic and just comes off phoney.

But at least he's consistant and he's not a jock, doesn't overuse the term 'you know' and so he's got a job.

But don't care for him.

Something about Jaws kind of annoys me, I love his breakdowns of plays but his commentary, just doesn't set with me. I don't really understand what it is.

Jaws retired when I was 5 years old, like I care what he did as an Eagle? I was only 1 when he left them.

Yes, just as in sports there comes a time when wear and tear of just living every day life on the planet takes it's toll.

Summerall did a game this year in like week 14. It was the Bengals vs the Rams. It was nice hearing him again. He had to be helped on a few occansions by Brian Baldinger. The Bengals threw an int and the Ram player was running up the field, and for about 5 seconds nobody said anything until Baldinger was like its intercepted. To Summerall's credit, that was the game where it rained the hardest last year.

The difference between Madden and Summeral and any brodcast team of today{with the exception of Micheals and Madden) is back in the 80's and 90's the announcers were all about the players. In todays game, announcers are first to jump on, rip and try to get their name out there in a players expense.

My favorite words ever to come out a broadcasters mouth was when Summeral would say.." Aikman to Irvin!" just thinking about is giving me goosebumps my brother and I always say it to one aother in our best Summeral impressions
