Pat Watkins, Alan Ball, Oglesby etc..

I would love to see Pat Watkins show the potential many of us (including Darren Woodson) think he has. He has size, speed, range....I would love for him to go out their sunday and dominate in COVERAGE.

I would love for Alan Ball to get some run and show the confidence many claim he shows in practice. From what I have read he gives TO all he can handle in practice...and I would love to see if that is fake bravado because the lights are not on...or would he truly get up in Santana Moss and show the organization he has the "no fear" attitude to play CB in this league. Same thing for Oglesby.

I would love for some of these young OL to get a chance that the team can trust that one of them will be the eventual starter for the Dallas Cowboys.

I would love for Stanback to go out and be a dominating physical presence his size suggest he should be.

I would love for JuJo to take the bulk of the carries and just let it all hang out.

I would love for Bobby Carpenter to give Bradie JAmes the day off and show the organization that he has preparing for this day and is ready to go regardless of how dissappointed both he and the team are with his progress to date.

I would love for Anthony Spencer to give Greg Ellis the day off and wreak havoc on the Skins all day.

I would love for Tank and Jason Hatcher to dominate in the trenches.

What I am basically saying is that we have some real high hopes about a LOT of our backups...and some of them are 1st rounders and/or first day picks. I would love for all of them to show the organization and the fans that they are not just along for the ride and that they have been preparing all year in the event their number is called

Actually I am not even sure why oglesby is on the roster, its sad he is on the roster and we cut moore.

He hasn't gotten on the field in front of Nathan Jones in the dime, he's got nothing to offer long term, IMO.

so you are saying Ellis could not use a blow...are you saying Stanback should not rest...you saying Columbo who has been playing on bum wheel should not rest...you saying James could not use a blow....you saying Barber should carry his normal load...are you saying Ratliff will not rest that knee...I mean we have a ton of guys who could really benefit to have the amount of snaps we see them play increase...for evaluation purposes and to rest some of our starters...if these guys are who we think they are...then why not? The skins interior DL are late round picks and they are young guys...the Skins lbers are down to a rookie HB Blades and Randall Godfrey...they are playing with subs in the defensive backfield...they are playing with late round picks on the OL...why shouldn't we be able to match up our young guys with that?

I wasn't saying any of those things, and I don't think I suggested them either. I should have clarified my post by highlighting the part of yours that I read...which was the first two paragraphs. I was only addressing the suggestions you made for the secondary.

I would love to see some of our backups against the skins' first teamers...and I think many of them will hold their own, if not impress. I just don't think we should be digging up inactives and third stringers just for fun. I'd still like to see us win the game.

I don't see Marten getting in the lineup at all, he'll likely be inactive.

well I didnt realize they were both active sunday, I cant remember the last time oglesby was active other than that game.

Roy will take one of the spots I imagine. Not sure which. And we may have to have an extra wr this week, if glenn is active and can not count for much then someone like stanbach will have to be active.

Not sure why you think adams will be inactive. If romo is active, adams sure better be.

free is another player never active on gameday and if adams is active I cant imagin free is. Although I agree that Free should be active and flo and columbo should be watching the second half of this game.

I think it is going to be kind of hard to sit as many guys as we want, unless they just leave 5 or more starters inactive.

Oglesby was probably active because of Roy's suspension and the domino effect that caused on special teams, especially with Keith Davis.

But if Newman doesn't play, or doesn't play much, it will probably be the same this week.

I'd like to see some of the young guys get a few spot snaps, but I don't think all these wholesale changes are going to happen. When we talk about resting people Sunday, we're talking about being careful with the few injured and dinged up guys we have. It's not like the whole second and third teams will be playing out there on Sunday.
