on espn today this question was asked.:
It appears that our receivers are having trouble creating separation from the DBs. Rank the recievers in their ability to get open.

and look where RW11 ranks.
Saturday August 14, 2010 12:10 Charlie
12:10 Tim MacMahon (ESPNDallas): Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Kevin Ogletree, Patrick Crayton, Roy Williams, Sam Hurd.

Despicable. (also will take this opportunity to note that if I was making the roster, that would be the exact WR order i'd place them in although i'd replace Hurd with Hudgins.)

not saying draft status shold matter....but if Roy is as BAD as the media keeps telling us...how did ever get drafted top 10....how did he ever had that big season in Detroit....I mean the "run Roy out of town" train is relentless!

You know once upon a time JaMarcuss Russel was the #1 overall pick?

I don't know if Roy is having problems getting separation or if he's just not in the right spot when Romo throws the ball to him. I'm always baffled when I see some of the passes that go his way.

RW is a mediocre WR. I think 50 passes would be a very good year for him in our offense.

how did Ryan Leaf or Tony Mandarich get drafted in the top 10? teams make mistakes when it comes to evaluating players.

he had that big season in Detroit in 2006 because they were always behind and had Mike Martz. they finished 3-13 that year.

Roy is a bum

The guy didn't ask Mcmahon to rank the WRs in how productive or good he thought they will be this season, he asked him to rank them in their ability to get separation. So Ogletree is faster than Roy? Stop the presses. Roy scored 7 TDs last year and was productive for us. If he had signed with us as a free agent instead of trading picks for him this wouldn't even be a conversation. He's not a star, but he doesn't have to be. He just has to catch it when it comes his way and be a productive #2, until if and when the time comes that Dez takes that job away.

People really need to learn about sunk costs around here. :lmao2:

You would seriously put Ogletree there, not me. He has been terrible. Usain Bolt could get separation too, and he may even catch as good as ogletree right now. Patrick Crayton is better by a mile

I say

Austin - Bryant - Crayton - Williams (uhg) - Hurd - Hudgins - then Ogletree

Ah yes,

Tim MacMahon is who I go to, for his on the money scouting reports.

Roy isn't a bad player. He's just not worth what we gave up.

But keep in mind Jerry made that move mid-season so you're not going to get an even trade.

Thats why if the Bengals wanted Marty B it would've cost them a 1.

If we get 50 from Roy it will be a very good year.

90 - 120 from Miles
50ish from Roy
30-60ish from Dez
30-40ish from Crayton

Good year...And this is without the Witten and Marty B, add them.

Well, nothing is more scientific than a MacMahon talent evaluation.

Proof positive, right there.

I bet Teddy Williams could get some mean separation with his straight line speed!

The fact that ko is slated by this clown above clayton and willams is ridiculous! And thus can't be taken seriously. KO has done nothing to get as much love as he gets.

I took it as having the ability to separate not who was the better receiver. If it was hands and overall ability it probably changes.

I understood the same. And stand by my statement. KO has shown little in getting separation from his defender.
