Patrick Crayton is 27 years old?

Yep....

Im glad we got All SEC Skyler to return punts...

I was tired of seeing no speed/moves Crayton hold ball like a loaf of bread everytime he has the ball..

One broken tackle against no tackling Charles Woodson doesnt impress me

yea, he came into the NFL at 24.. Newman was also drafted at 24.. Sux..

Newman looks like such a kid though. He's 26 now?

It's the mileage folks, not the year.
:hammer:

Doesn't it make you feel ancient when the younger posters consider mid-to-late 20s as "old"?

27 is young.

I swear to god. Our fans are insanely unrealistic. They will not be happy until we have 53 Pro Bowl players that are all 22 and completely injury free.

Till then, there will never be an end to all the teeth-gnashing and whining.

lol im just sayin this is gonna be his 3rd year.i was expecting him to be like 25 or atleast 26.

Who the hell was whining? I think you're putting words into people's mouths. All that was said was that it sucked that Newman came into the league when he was 24. Same as Crayton.

That's all, it sucks. Would have been REALLY nice to have Newman since he was 22, or Crayton being that young--that would mean our future at corner is very, very bright.

I'm not sure what it is, but around here lately it seems to be cliche to bash other Cowboys posters or people who "whine" (who actually aren't whining). They never said they were unhappy about it, it just sucks, and it does.

I thought we were all on the same team around here? Guess not..

Hahah. I'm 26 myself. Newman just seemed a lot younger than I am to me.

Crayton looks his age, but Newman just looks like a kid. :) That's all I'm saying.

The good thing about Newman was he didnt play a whole lot of football before he went to K State so he has a lot of mileage left on him.

Its hard to believe Roy Williams is 25...

Speaking of the Roy, does anyone remember him saying a few years ago that his career wouldn't be that long? He said he only planned on a playing a specific number of years.
I can't remember how many years he said but it may have been 7 or 8. I don't know if he still feels that way but I was surprised to hear him say it at the time.

A 27 year old starter is young.

A 27 year old whose still developing and trying to become anything more than a contributor isn't.
