I had my sights set a bit high for him but he was virtually invisible. I can't blame him for the crucial drop because the hit was nasty but he's a very timid PR. He had a couple of chances to pick us up some good field position and seemed to be stuck in the mud.

Yes you CAN blame him for the drop. Nasty hits occur in football games. You STILL have to hold on to the ball.

Blame him for standing up too high when he turned up field. He needs to get lower when running with the football. Parcells mentioned this about him in one of his press conferences a few days ago.

Maybe this will apply a sensible does of realism to the whole 'Patrick Crayton is our next #1 WR' movement that seemed to be picking up speed after week one. He appears to be a good candidate to be a solid #3, and perhaps in a couple years, #2 WR. However, we still need to go out and draft a true stud receiver. BTW, Crayton should have caught that pass. That's the sort of play a true #1 makes. It'll be interesting to see how Price gets worked into the mix over the next few weeks.

He needs to learn how to run with better body lean. He had the same problem last year. Like Parcells said last week, he's going to get killed if he doesn't change that. It's gonna lead to injuries and it hurts his ability to secure the ball.

Hey, I have an idea ... maybe Patrick Crayton isn't the Pro Bowl WR everyone envisions him to be. Taa-daa!!!

Maybe time to give Price a chance. Throwing to a 7th round draft pick with the game on the line isn't my cup of tea.

Crayton will never be a #1; but he can be a good #2. He got leveled by a BIG FS hitting very hard- VERY FEW WR's would have held onto that ball. They are the #1's.

Let's face it guy's, it shouldn't have come down to one dropped ball in this game. Crayton is gonna make a lot more plays than the one he let get away from him last night. No one is gonna catch everything. We can still expect a lot from him in the future.

I'm more concerned with his punt returner role. Definitely no spark there tonight especially when you contrast it with Thompson's burst of speed on the kick returns. It was a sharp contrast.

I think BP should be looking at someone else for punt returns.
