Patrick Petersen - FS?

Yea he is a freak athlete he could be both, but I would feel more comfotable him playing a position he currently plays and moving Newman to FS

I think he is gone by the second pick to Denver. No way he gets passed Arizona at #5.

Arz very well could be looking at QB in this draft, with Leinart not panning out they have very little to turn to at that spot

IMO, in the top 10 of the draft, GMs put a premium on QBs, Defensive Linemen, Wide Receivers and offensive tackles. Secondary players seem like luxury picks, and often drop farther than fans imagine they would. With all the hype around Peterson, maybe that doesn't happen, but I think we might have a shot at him given how badly the teams in front of us have needs at all of those "premier" top 10 draft positions.

Prince seems to be the higher rated guy and Arizona needs a QB. Maybe Arizona trades down a few spots to get Newton, Locker or Mallett.

Well that does not look promising at all but maybe a team like Arizona takes him for you at 5 and then makes a trade after the fact if the Qb they want is still available at our pick.

?

Doesn't look promising?

In the past 5 years only 5 secondary players were taken in the top 10, and only one in the top 5 and it really hasn't worked out for any of those teams. It suggests to me that teams view secondary players as luxury players, unless they see one as just too ****** to pass up (which MIGHT be the case with Peterson). The teams picking in front of us are BAD and need lots of help, and might not be in a position to make the luxury pick.

I don't think switching to safety would hurt his draft stock all that much.

I've been repeating myself on this one a lot but no DB's taken in the Top 4 since Charles Woodson in 1998. The chances that Peterson is gone at #2 are extremely slim. However, he could very, very easily be gone by our pick. Especially if he runs well.

Does not look promising because it looks to me that when the guys are rated high they go before the 9th pick most of the ime. Both of these guys are ranked in the top 10 players so I think it is a good chance they go in the top 10.

They won't draft a QB. They'll trade for Kolb like Cowher said. he's buddy-buddy with Wisenhunt.

At what cost? I don't doubt that is an option for the Cards but what will the eagles ask for in return?

Kolb is an interception machine - they might want to rethink that especially after his performance against the Dallas defense who makes most QB's look good!

why do people want to take the best (if not the 2nd best) CB and make him a FS? If Dallas does draft him, which i hope they do....be nice to trade back a few and still get him, but either way, I would want for him to play CB, and for Dallas to go out and find another FS in FA........

You guys do realize where Mr. Peterson is playing this Friday?

That's right, JerryWorld.

Guess who will have a pretty good seat at the game....
