I still say 4 teams because I see a scenario where both QB's and Von Miller is off the board for Arizona but either way, 4 or 5 teams, it's possible!

The Titans are the wildcard here, because they could easliy draft a player that Cleveland wanted. The Titans' GM loves SEC players, and I'm sure that he would jump all over A.J. Green, Nick Fairley, or Marcell Dareus. They would jump on Bowers (if medically cleared), because they want to get bigger at DE and have a need there. I need to check on Julio Jones.

Who is Cleveland going to want, and can they be sure that the Titans will reach for a QB? They like Andy Dalton (I know for a fact) and will not reach for a QB from everything I'm hearing. Is Cleveland willing to take that risk?

are you hinting of the possibility Peterson would be there at 9 because I think we are more likely to see Smith and Roger holding hands on Main St before the 49ers would pass on Peterson.:laugh2:

Only way we are getting him is if he falls to the number 6 pick and we trade up

No. Peterson could go 2, 3, 4, or 5, imo. Best shot 2, 4, or 5. He wouldn't get past S.F. or Tennessee.

I'm talking about Dallas trading up for Peterson with Cleveland. I'm saying that the Titans could take Cleveland's guy. Would the Browns risk losing their guy for just a third round pick?

The Titans are said to be very interested in Kaepernick too and Matt Hasselback, so if an A.J. Green, Nick Fairley, Marcell Dareus, Da"Quan Bowers (if medically cleared), or Robert Quinn was on the board, the Titans would be a major threat to take any of those players.

Which player does Cleveland really want? If Holmgren follows Bill Wash's draft philosophy, he will not take the WR according to Lombardi. Lombardi gave them Bowers in his last mock. I guess it's possible that the Titans could be flooded with good options and Cleveland could get away with it.

I'm just saying that there is significant risk for Cleveland in trading down, due to Tennessee or S.F. In this scenario, the Browns better know what they are doing.

Let's say this happens:

1. Gabbert
2. Dareus
3. Newton
4. Mallet
5. Miller
6. Peterson (Dallas)
7. Green (Great value)
8. Bowers/Quinn/Jones

Which end does Cleveland want? If one of those DEs are gone, the Titans would be a threat to take the one left or A.J. Green. That is why Tennessee is a wildcard in this scenario for Cleveland.

Not only do the Browns have to worry about the Titans, they have to worry about S.F. possibly trading down if they want to move. Both WRs are on the board. Maybe, S.F. takes Green or Jones or moves down.

I'm just saying that there is risk involved for Cleveland if they move down.

The top 10 isn't settled. Who knows. It will be starting to clear up this week.

If the Bengals don't draft Mallet at 4, they will most likely draft the highest rated player on their board, which will most likely be Patrick Peterson. Mike Lombardi stated that the Bengals use a scouting service and use BPA. Furthermore, he stated that Peterson would most likely be the highest rated player on their board.

Plus, the Bengals draft high in round 2 and could nab a QB there, or they could take Mallett if they like him at 4.
 
Anyone still bitter about the last Philly game?

I don't like for us to lose on purpose, but if we were to give up a third to move up (provided the Browns are even on board with that), it sure would have been nice to have that pick to get a safety or OL.

Oh well - I can live with that if our history of drafting the Jacob Rogers and Stephen Petermans are any indication of what it ultimately means.
 
Patrick Peterson is an incredible talent, but the fact that he scored a 9 on the wonderlic has me terrified of the type of player he will end up being in the pros which is far more complicated a system than anything he saw in college.

Just so some of you know, a score of 10 is generally considered illiterate.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think trading up for Peterson is crazy. He has big time potential, but if he is an idiot...

I agree. I think he's a physical specimen but in my opinion he's too big to play corner and I wonder about his mental ability to grasp safety in the NFL.

But you don't have Fairley. Browns could just as easily take Fairley; Quinn as to the Titans. The Titans ned DL coach was the DL coach at Auburn last year.

I think Bowers or Green will be gone at 4. Browns then would have to decide Peterson, Quinn, Fairley, Green/Bowers, Jones or trade back.
Lets say they trade back.
Dallas at 6 Peterson
SF at 7 Quinn(they need pass rush help bad)
TN at 8 Fairley
Clevland at 9 leaves Green or Bowers
