I really don't think Cleveland will make a trade with Dallas to move up to take Patrick Peterson. Here is why I think it won't happen. Cleveland will prob want to take Julio Jones. And may think they can go back to 9 to get him. Will he still be there at 9 to take. Say Cleveland does go back thinking they can take him at 9 and they do make the trade. Dallas get Patrick Peterson at 6. Cleveland goes back to 9. With the 49ers on the clock. Now who is to say with Patrick Peterson gone. Washington really wants Julio Jones and they know now at 9 Cleveland will take them. So they call the 49ers make a trade with them. Now Washington is at 7 they take Julio Jones. 49ers could go back to 10 because now they can take Prince since Patrick Peterson is gone. So Cleveland is the odd man out there so if they have Julio Jones that high on there board they will stay put and take him. Fearing if they move back to get Julio Someone would jump in front of them to grab Julio

Cleveland might have 3 or 4 prospects who they really like and they know one will be there at 9. In that case, it would make perfect sense to trade back, pick up an extra pick and still get one of their guys.

You still could be right though... but the scenario I played out is just as likely as the one you did.

There are other teams that we can trade with..

i believe we may trade with the 49ers because the 49ers needs alot of players and trading back with us would leave them in the top 10 to get the best available player and get an extra pick to address another need.
Seeing how they have a new coach who might feel that they need multiple picks so trading back is probably in their best interest as long as they do not trade back too far.

Cleveland needs are DE, DT and WR. That will leave them with Quinn, Fairly or Julio at their pick at #9. They would probably love to see Peterson fall to them as trade bait.

Yes they do have needs at DE, DT and WR. But I really do think Julio is the one they really want. If they take Quinn there is some issues with him. It will take a few years to become good. And number 2 he has a brain tumor so docs will half to take a good look at him and make sure he can play. I just really believe Cleveland will stay at 6 to pick the player they really want.

Cleveland does want Julio Jones, but they would settle for Green, Quinn, Fairley or Bowers. If Peterson gets there we can make that deal.

If we want Peterson we are going to have to trade w cincy or az

I honestly think AZ will take Peterson if they don't move down..if Az really wants Peterson, we may have to even jump them and trade w cincy

I don't think there is any way they take Peterson over Gabbert.

Bowers is not even going to be a first round pick. Because of Injury. I really think Green will go to Ciny. that leaves Quinn, and Fairley. Fairley will go to Titans. that leaves either Quinn which is a big risk and Julio. so if it comes down to that i think Wash will move up to take Julio. So that leave Quinn. But Quinn comes with concern so we will see I just see it playing out Cleveland stays at 6 and takes Julio that is how I see it

I will bet you anything you want Bowers will be a first round pick. Name your wager and I will win I guarantee you that.

I have to disagree.

If Buffalo takes Miller which I think they will the Cardinals seem sold on the idea they can get Kolb in a trade or rent Bulger for a year or two. Worst case scenario they go into the year with Skelton who the staff was showing growing trust in. The Cardinals believe they have the talent and are not far removed from the SB in a weak division. I have my doubts they want to hand that team over to a rookie QB this year.

Besides, Fitz for some reason seems to have too much power down there and he already express his disapproval of Gabbert.

I'm really leaning more and more towards Peterson ending up in Arizona.

Word out of AZ is there is no way they are taking a QB @5...

If Bowers does go first round it will be around 20 to 32 if he does go. When he went to the doc they said his knee is still in pretty bad shape which may have knocked him out of the frist round

To me, the idea of them passing on the chance to add a franchise
QB is very short-sighted. Although, they do need to please Larry.

And does every team believe they are going to be able to land Kolb? Some teams are going to go into this season with some very shaky QB questions.

Max Hall, John Skelton and Derek Anderson. Are they blind to see how bad their QB's are or are they just that dumb to say they aren't going to get one at #5?

Max Hall and Anderson aren't much at all. But Skelton was a rookie last year and they believe he has a lot of potential, but they really tried to keep him on the bench last year because they knew he wouldn't be ready this year. But injuries killed them, so he had to start. I wouldn't be surprised if they went into the season with Skelton as their starter.

Man, I live in AZ and have not heard this. There has been plenty of debate here about should they trade up to Denver's spot to grab one of the top 2 QBs.
