Patriots acted quickly with Mike Vrabel partly because they believed the Cowboys were interested

That’s because Dallas doesn’t have any urgency because they think “ohh you’ll wait for us so we can take our time”

Sometimes you need to jump the gun…..

Not even the Yankees do this and they KNOW people want to play for them

They say “oh yeah, let’s throw 10 years 800 million at him”

Over here in Dallas it’s “let’s take our time then lowball and then they’ll beg to work here “

Don’t believe this for a second….jerry wasn’t going to hire vrabel. Way too strong of a personality. The pats either grossly over estimated or the reporter has a terrible source

There were a lot of teams interested in Vrabel. He's one of the few coaches in the NFL who you could legitimately say elevated his team. And he was fired because he lost a power struggle (to a GM that was also fired), not so much because of his results on the field. Normally HCs of his caliber don't get away, and if there was any doubt about Vrabel's cred, the Titans just cleared it for him.
He was 7-10 and 6-11 his last two years. He got fired because he didn’t get the job done. But somehow cowboy fans think he’s Vince Lombardi. Grass is always greener I guess.

Is there any proof that Vrabel was even interested in Dallas? Probably not.

I think he was smart to stay the hell away from Jerry's circus. It could have been a career killing decision to go to Dallas.
Jane Slater said he asked her if she could set up a meeting or introduce him to Jerry.

Now that out of the way.

This is like every FA that reporters talk about the Cowboys could be interested in them, meanwhile all of the realistic cowboys fans know that they are only looking for cheap players.

And they went 3-14 without him, so I think he made some chicken salad there.

Pats giving Booger way too much credit. Jerry’s radar doesn’t extend past The Star.

Or maybe they got worse or maybe the coach that followed him was terrible. Either way, he was a loser when he got fired. But somehow he’s a messiah now.
