Patriots are 5 point favorites over the Cowboys

I guess this should be expected - a team coming off a tough battle won from a last minute field goal, on the road, on a short week.

But still - when was the last time that you saw a 5-0 team as 5-point home dogs? I've been known to place a few choice bets here or there in my lifetime, and I can say with confidence that I've absolutely never seen it.

What do you guys think? Disrespect, or as expected?

I'm surprised, this is a 5-0 team here as well, lest you forget. The Patriots are a quality team, but the Cowboys cannot be judged by this one loss.

Ask yourself this question, do you expect the Cowboys to lose the game and, if so, by 5 points? This team has the firepower to stay with anyone.

Vegas looks at point scored(Pats score 1 more on average than we do) and points allowed(Pats give up 6 less than we do) and then the home team will get 3. 6+1-3 =4. Thats about where they are at, give or take 1 a point.

Vegas looks at betting patterns. They could care less about points scored and defensive matchups or anything to do with the actual game. Their only goal is to get the action split 50/50 on both teams.

This point spread is not indicative of anyone's belief that the Pats are better than the Cowboys. It's just that the betting public has been playing the Pats heavy so they need to throw this line out there to get action on the Cowboys.

It's up to 6 in a lot of places right now. If I can get it at 7, I might have to load up. The Patriots are just getting too much respect. There's no way Dallas should be getting 7 at home from ANYBODY.
