I'll tell you the NFL network announcers keep spouting the same lame excuse. Well, the Patriots cheating did not affect the outcome of the game with the Jets, so it should not affect this perfect season they are going for.

The Patriots do not deserve a perfect regular season, because that implies excellence. Cheating is not part of excellence, and they cheated THIS SEASON. Just because it does not affect the outcome of any game ultimately, the win over the jets should be taken away, they're 14-1 right now as far as I can see.

Cheating this season nullifies any records they get. A photoshop of asterisk hats and trophies should be started right now.

Furthermore, they should not have any playoff bid, no matter how good their record is on paper. Goodell went easy on them. And they will go down, they will not make it to the final ceremony at the Super Bowl, that's justice, and it will happen somehow.

I could not be more disgusted with any team than I am with the Patriots.

I agree with the sentiment. If I were to play Tiger Woods in one 18 hole match play and he was cheating despite the fact he could beat 99 times out of 100, Woods would be rightfully labeled as a disgusting cheat. Plus, if they believe that was the only time NE did that, then I have oceanfront property in Kansas they may be interested in.

I think one fact remains that there's virtually nothing threatening teams from doing this again. If a team is in an important playoff game or in the Super Bowl and can cheat to get an advantage, I would imagine that losing a first rounder and getting fined some money is well worth the chance to win the Super Bowl.

Some teams, you could steal all their signals and know all their plays and you still couldn't beat them.

Fans can complain, cry, call them cheats and wish they get theirs. But at the end of the day, if they're hoisting the Lombardi Trophy (I hope they're not) it won't matter. They'll have the rings and the hardware.

I'd stop worrying about it and move on.
