Patriots sign safety Obi Melifonwu
According to the safety's agent Sean Stellato on Monday, Melifonwu is signing with the Patriots. This comes after New England worked out Melifonwu in late October after he was released by the Oakland Raiders. The 2017 second round pick did seem to be earmarked for the Patriots as the safety has New England in his blood. Melifonwu is from Grafton, Massachusetts and played his college ball at UConn, so this just further adds to the homecoming for him.
