They absolutely do NOT - it’s all about Jerry & Stephen’s egos at this point. They gave Dak that ridiculous, market setting contract because THEY think he’s a Top 5 or better QB. THEY caved to Zeke early, pushed him away for a year because he wasn’t playing up to that contract, yet BROUGHT HIM BACK as if he would be an upgrade. The failed contract extensions with Jaylon Smith and Michael Gallup (especially giving up on Cooper FOR Gallup). The constant waiting until the last possible moment to do contract extensions AFTER OTHERS HAVE RESET THE MARKET TO DRIVE UP THE COST!!!!!!! The list has become endless.

I mean, this is seriously what they've been doing for decades. Look at 2012. One of the deepest DLine drafts around that time, and we trade up for a frickin' CB? Every dam time.

You watch, w/ the salary cap room created it will be more skill position guys. CBs, WRs, maybe a TE or two. That's what we always do. And that's why we cannot win a playoff game.
