One thing is clear to me. The AFC is NOT a better conference than the NFC.

NFC = 33 out of conference wins - AFC = 32 out of conference wins.

Yeah the schedule thing is a joke. You don't know who will be good from one year to the next.

A big part of why their schedules are so easy every year, and seem to be going into this year again, is that their division is awful. They have 6 games in their division that they should EASILY win. Provided that the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins don't improve a great deal this offseason.

The Bills, with a little help and luck, could be a lot harder for the Pats than they were this year but the Jets and Dolphins...meh. I don't think they're really going to contend much for that division so I could easily see New England going 5-1 in their division.

and most of that schedule is AFC teams. how is it everyone assumes that the AFC is so dominant...

Because they have won 8 of the last 11 SBs (8 of 10 until last Sunday).

Stength of Sched is bull**** this time of year.

No one predicted GB or Tampa to win their divisons. Everyone had the Eagles winning the NFC East, the Saints and Bears in the playoffs, Cincinnati contending for the Superbowl, Baltimore winning their divison, Cleveland winning 3 games etc, etc.

We could win 6 games next year, as could the Packers, Chargers, Steelers and Giants.

It was pattycake this year except for the NFC East, Indy and San Diego.

Ain't that the truth......the NFC east will prepare teams for a playoff run.

Well yes and no....;)

The Pats own 3 of them..... take those 3 out and the AFC had won 5 of 10 :eek:

I talked to Kurt Warner, Donovan McNabb and Jake Delhomme... they all agreed.

Starting the season 6-0 because your division is a joke helps.

In todays NFL teams can change so much in the off season, but I still think this is a cakewalk, and the NFC East should be a BEAR man.

Today, seasons are long. Injury is probably the biggest single reason for teams success. If you can play a relatively easy schedule, it allows for a team to rest players a bit more. Injuries can still happen but there is no doubt that it helps when you can afford that rest to players IMO.

If you take those three out my math book tells me that's 5 of 7 since you took 3 out...
