The Cowboys played very tough and NE feels fortunate to come out of that one with a win. I thought the home winning streak was over, and wasn't confident at all about a TD drive in the last 2 minutes given how hard the yardage was coming the whole 2nd half. Brady was great down the stretch, and Hernandez is really something - they were the difference.

Now having seen Dallas up close, this is a team that will compete for the NFC title in January. You have all the elements and now just need to put it together. In 2001, the Pats' 1st SB year, they started out 0-2 and 1-3 before getting it together and going on a run.

I think Garrett learned a lesson yesterday that you have to be more aggressive offensively with the game on the line against a good team. The offense is what wins and loses games in those situations - Cowboys had 2 great chances to put it away and played too cautiously. I think they won't make that mistake again.

What you say Willis! Then how come every other New England fan you see thought it would go down EXACTLY the way it did.

BINGO!!!

I think Pats fan isn't far off, though I don't know if they play consistent enough ball to play deep in January.

our OL needs to come together and that takes time many fans just don't wanna give. but it all starts there - in the trenches.

40yrpatsfan,

Thank you for coming over and saying some good things about the Boys. As you can imagine, lots of hard feelings over that game but the better team won. I hope you are correct in your observations on our team. I think we have some growing up to do but hopefully, we'll get there.

Good knowledgeable fans are welcome on this board any time. I hope that my fellow Cowboy Fans will also give thanks where thanks are due.

Game well played.

Finally a voice of reason. Thanks for coming over to doom and gloom land. I have to tell you that your Offense was exactly how I thought it would be, and your defense is a lot better then everybody made it out to be.

Hey, you guys won, and it was a damn good game (until the end)

But I'm proud of the way the Cowboys played a great team on the road. And, it did seem that I noticed that the Pats players were getting a little scared out there for awhile. ;)

Anyway, thanks for a good post...I wish the Cowboys could see your team in the SB.

Nice post but I think you are wrong. I don't think JG has learned anything and I think he'll make those mistakes again. Just like Romo hasn't learn not to throw those boneheaded INTS, JG hasn't learn situational football in 4 years and I don't think he ever will.

I was watching it in a bar in New York - surrounded by Jets fans, they said the exact same thing - don't let Brady have it with 2+ minutes..... at home, got to try and score here, don't go Parcells... After the game, when the were grousing about "my" team not helping them out, I pointed out that we had gifted them a game in week one, so it kind of evened out. They actually agreed.

I have to remain optimistic at this point.

It's OK man, you'll come back, you have the best QB in the division. /Deon

Glad to see an opposing fans views and a person who can discuss without the trash talking. 40yrpatsfan come back anytime.

As for your take I do agree that being overly conservative vs a good team on their home field was a mistake. Garrett should have been more aggressive especially going in the 2nd half of the game.

Good luck the rest of the way and hope you guys do us a favor by beating our rivals.

That TD pass by Brady was one of the best clutch passes I have ever seen. Kudos and best of luck all this year. I completely respect your team.

Are you serious? Really? Let me get this straight, you want the Foreskins to kick the Pats butt? I'm I getting that right? If so, I'll never understand this type of thinking..
