If you choose to call the New England Patriots your favorite team — It would behoove you to know their stars.

This lucky Patriots fan bumped into star defensive tackle Vince Wilfork in the bahamas. The fan didn’t recognize Wilfork even though he was wearing his jersey and standing near him.

Wilfork eventually introduced himself and the fan realized he was in violation.

I would probably recognize most Cowboys but not all of them. Especially when I'm not expecting to see them, I would be caught off guard. I don't know, I don't fault the guy too much.

There's a difference in not recognizing the 3rd string safety on the Cowboys. Vince Wilfork is the starting NT for the team you profess to love and whose jersey you're wearing. You're supposed to know what the guy looks like. lol

If I'm buying a guy's jersey, you better believe I'm gonna know what he looks like before his wife tells me. lol

I don't expect a casual to know about a Wilber or Escobar but they should know about Crawford........or a least I think they should lol

Haha fair enough. And I agree with you. But I might be thrown off guard if I'm the situation. I mean I'm going to recognize Tony, Witten, Dez, and Murray.

Easy way to find a non die hard fan in public...ask them about who the kicker or punter are.

Typically they freeze.

I'm about as face-blind as you can be. I've got neighbors on a street I've lived on for 10 years that I don't recognize in grocery stores. I just had a 5 minute conversation in Costco with a woman I had no idea who she was until she mentioned sitting together at a wrestling tournament for a whole weekend. Outside of a business context--where I make it a point to remember features and somehow do--I'm 100% useless. Like a baby. I'd definitely not recognize many of our own players coming at me on vacation out of the blue. But you better believe I'd be embarrassed and take my lumps if it went down like that. This guy looked like he was actually afraid of Big Vince.

It's too obvious to call people out on bigger stars.
You can always go to schemes and particular plays.
