Pats should have shown more patience in his development. A mistake.

This is going to come back to haunt the Patriots. Probably soon when Drake gets injured, Dobbs is not even as good as Brissett, and there is an undrafted rookie as emergency QB.

Is Don Sweeney moonlighting with the Patriots?

Milton showed significant improvement in year one. He was traded for less than it cost the Pats to draft him. So, why did the Pats draft him in the first place?

We always overrate our team’s talent when someone is let go, only to find they don’t do much elsewhere.

Still, this one is a bit of a head scratcher considering that Maye’s aggressive style has already made him injury prone.

Mike Reiss speculated that locker room dynamics had something to do with it. Still, A fourth rounder would have been better.

Time will tell, not much of a market for third string QB's with one meaningless game experience.

So it would have better to sit on him at a low cost versus a 5th round comp pick who at best will be a special teamer.

Even special teamers play more than a 3rd string QB.

This is a very bad trade. Drake Maye had 2 concussions last year. We should have at least gone the season with Milton as insurance . His contract cost us little also the returns are not enough. We have basically upgraded the cowboys QB room so that its better than ours all for a 5th rounder

We won't know for sure until we see him on the field but based on the comments the Pats fans made, it's got possibilities.
not really. it is a good trade already from a market and circumstances perspective. now it could not pan out, or pay major dividends, but the cost can be judged now, and they did well. certainly better than the rumored 3rd i was terrified of.

On the surface, the Joe Milton trade seems to be one of our better trades in a long time. Also, the reactions of the Pats fans seem to say that they had good impressions of Milton's worth. We'll see.

My advice to Milton here and now. Grow where you are planted. You will grow even faster if you commit and seriously invest. At the basics, you haven't earned diddly despite getting rich, and you will advance faster and earned it in Dallas. That ONLY turns into team and coaching respect. You want to be a winner and not unentitled
'rook'. You want more money? Earn it like Romo and Prescott did...great move.
