Pats pick of Mallett

Isnt it interesting how the media and various draft gurus have totally flopped on Mallett now that he got picked by the Pats?

I mean he was an absolutely sinister, menace to society, piece of dog crap two days ago. Now they act like he is the 2nd coming of Dan Marino and that every team that picked a QB other than him clearly screwed up.

For the record I liked Mallett and I do think he will end up better than most of the other QB's picked this yr, but its still a joke what hypocrites these guys are.

How are they going to get a first rounder for the guy after sitting on the bench for 2 years? He gets picked in the 3rd round this year, sits on the bench for 2 years and then is worth a 1st or 2nd rounder? I don't get it.

isnt that what the eagles are doing with kevin kolb whos has started about 4 games, all mediocre save for one, got benched in game 1 last year, now they want a 1st rounder?

"want" and "get" are two different things

But he has played, whereas Sarge mentioned if the Pats never play Mallett why would a team give up a 1st rd pick to trade for him?
