Pats released MLBer JaWhaun Bentley

He failed his physical so why would the Pats just cut him if he was healthy enough or going to be healthy enough?

If he's so good, why's he available?

Seriously, this is one time where that applies.
from ESPN

Under first-year coach Mike Vrabel, the Patriots plan to adopt a more aggressive defensive scheme, and that also could have contributed to the anticipated release of Bentley, who was considered an ideal fit in the old Bill Belichick/Jerod Mayo scheme that placed a high value on run-stuffing linebackers who play downhill.

Fair enough, good enough reason for me.

This board is so desperate it seems any player released that has name recognition is suggested as a good signing....sucks we have come to this guys.

That being said, sign him!!!

Same thing with all these WR's, first it was cupp now it's keenan allen like sheesh!!! Whoever is the next available guy in line, we want!

As a homer, I say, he sucks...he's over rated, if he's so good, why isn't he signed, why does the best coach in the league not want him. Strong pass!!
Now, I'll sit back and wait for the haters to say...what the hell is Jerry waiting for, this guy can be all pro, stop being cheap Jerry!!
