Wow. NE is a cool team, apart from all the cheating.

Has NE lost a trade in the last ten years?

Not a bad move for the Bucs if he has anything left. UDFA from last year and a 4th?

Guy had a solid year last year.

NE would rather part ways a year early than a year too late.
Yes they do. And this time they are being really smart because.....
Wow, why couldnt we trade them escobar for mankins?
Mankins isn't the same player he used to be. He is borderline over the hill and is due something like $11M this year. NE really managed the roster perfectly with this move. Trading Escobar to NE would have been highway robbery for them. Jerry would have been BBQ'd for a move like that.

Apparently the TE they traded for is pretty good. An Aaron Hernandez clone without the personality complex. Has measurables very similar to Herandez and put up near identical numbers their rookie years. He's already probably one of the best #2 TEs in the game. The Bucs had big plans for him going into this year but he didn't really gel in the new system when Lovie Smith took over. Not to mention, New England picked up a 4th rounder and parted ways with Mankins' enormous contract. They're really building a solid young team around Brady. Also, reports suggest Garrapolo is having the best rookie preseason behind only Bortles. He's making Mallett expendable, so they might be able to flip Mallett for yet another high pick. Then by the time Brady calls it quits (he's turning 38), Garapollo might come in and take over a young and talented team.

And folks around these parts wonder why other folks are not happy with the way the franchise is being managed.

Lol, the Patriots are the standard for maximizing their talent and getting a return on inflated contracts.

They are not perfect, no team is but boy do they make better decisions than Dallas at every turn.

I thought we were suppose to only make trades for lineman, whether OL or DL, because anything outside of that is bad management.

What's up with Gronkowski that is making the Pats so desparate for a TE?

Could you imagine the ridicule GM Jerry Jones would face if he were to trade a 6-time all pro and captain and protector of the franchise QB for a 4th rd pick and some TE few even knew about at the end of camp? I don't think Tom Brady approves of this trade.

Gronk has been injured toward the end of the year for each of the last three seasons. Maybe they don't think he will ever be able to maintain his health over a complete season.
