Texas cannot go another season with a five game losing streak coach who loses to Kansas a 31 point underdog . Sarkisian out how about the guy who won a bunch of games in Ft Worth Patterson . Or even the coach racking up 9 and 10 win Seasons in Dallas of all places Sonny Dykes . They could do worst then interview these 2 .

They're not firing Sark after 1 season with a bunch of guys recruited by his predecessor. Unless, of course, his off-the-field issues have resurfaced.

Being the first Texas coach to lose at home to Kansas was pretty bad, though.

Texas won't get off the slide until they land a coach that can recruit in Texas. Texas has been losing the recruiting battle to OU and A&M by a wide margin. This year, they are working on their first top 10 class in a loooong time. Sark is doing a good job but it will take 2-3 recruiting cycles. The only guy better for texas would be lane kiffin.

And if Sonny Dykes can win at Mockingbird Lane & 75 in Dallas with a name that’s been around Texas coaching circles forever he should be able to recruit and win in Austin . The Fort Worth side of the Metroplex is trying to get him to bolt to TCU

If Patterson goes to UT it would be as DC imo.
They aren't likely firing Sark after one year and with Arch Manning in play and a top 10 recruiting class on deck.
Too easy to say Herman just couldn't identity or recruit (whether it is true or not doesn't matter).

Lane Kiffin is going to end up in Florida.
He hasn't recruited Texas well and has no real ties to the state.

UT would be wise to go get Jeff Traylor in 12 months if Sark hasn't turned it around.

Kiffin has an upper limit on what he can achieve and he is just a really odd name to even be in the equation for any Texas jobs much less UT.
