Probably that Norm isn't the official radio broadcaster of the team. It's impossible to imagine Brad Sham doing something like this.

Eh, my impression is that the smaller market media always play up to their fans more than ones in the bigger markets do. It's almost like a college atmosphere. That's all this is, I'm guessing.

This guy is something. I am like a moth to a light with this terrible radio sation up there and in particular this clown that is an nfl play by play guy.

Its amazing.

So far this week I have heard paul allen say Jay ratliff wont do anything, favre will have a field day on mike jenkins, Tony romo hasnt done anything and his numbers are pretty light. The dallas running game is simplistic and the vikings will shut it down.

The best is that he keeps insisting we screen more than anyone in the league.

then a minute ago I heard him say get ready to hear the number 94 missing alot of tackles in this game. He is comparing us to cincy, big offensive line and they lost by 20....insisting minnsesota will play their best game of the year this week.

He is saying we beat the eagles because jammal jackson was out and everyone he has talked to has told him that is the way we generated pressure and only way we can.

I could go on and on...He is simply dumb. Not trying to be a jerk, but he is dumb....and I cant believe he is an nfl play by play guy.

If brad sham or babe ever talked like this I would never listen to them again.....

as I am listening to him right now he is saying our columbo free rotation is going to be a huge problem....

oh god.. I need to turn this off. It is really making me mad!

Yea its part that. I know allen is a tool from listening to homer call all the time on bad radio, he is on there all the time.

and I am just shocked at the way he is talking about the players, especially monday. He is a teams play by play guy, not a show host.

Its fun to listen to. I didnt hear him mention that the vikings have won 1 playoff game since 2001, just like Dallas though.

But yeah I just like to listen to other teams media and read their papers, I do it every week always have. THis guy is just off the charts though, no one else sounds like this guy.

I shouldnt have been suprised after hearing him on homer call all the time!

Maybe not, but unless Allen was insulting the Cowboys, ownership, or the city of Dallas in some way, I don't see the controversy. Seems like his only "crime" is having faith in his team. True, there's not supposed to be any "rooting" in the press box, but guys like Sham and Allen aren't disinterested journalists. They're team employees.

That's why he's a play-by-play guy and not an analyst!

It really doesn't matter what anyone says, because they won't be on the field Sunday. They all have different opinions, and that's really all it is... an opinion. Some are right, some are wrong. Hearing this stuff coming from Minnesota actually makes me feel more confident, because they really seem to be scared!

The biggest thing I'd remember is this... Peppers and the Carolina defense had a field day on Favre, 4 sacks, 1 INT, and a whole lot of pressure. Favre had no TD's, and AP was held to 35 yards on 12 carries. Also in their loss to Arizona, Favre was sacked 3 times and threw 2 INT's. We have two pro-bowlers in our front 7, and another guy (Spencer) who might have made the pro bowl if he had been playing the whole season the way he has in the last month. That's 7 of the 34 sacks they have given up, and 3 of the 7 INT's in two recent games. Vikings are slipping, Favre is slipping, and with the amount of pressure we're going to get on him, I'd anticipate 5 or more sacks, and a couple INT's, along with a lot of silver helmets in Favre's face all day! We can generate pressure by rushing 4 and dropping 7 into coverage. Nobody will be open, AND he won't have time to throw the ball. It's a recipe for disaster... for them anyway!

I'm glad he's confident in his Vikings and all. It's good to have that confidence.

The way you describe the way this guy is talking about the game reminds me of mcnabbs pregane shuffle. I whole lot of confidence covering up a lot more fear.
