Getting a little tired of the subtle Spurs homerism. If only the fans could learn class from the team. Anyway, yeah, that was horrible. He won't play a minute this season and maybe not even next. I don't think Kevin Ware has been back on the court yet. This isn't your typical ACL/MCL injury, or another common type of injury that used to be career threatening but is now a 6 month recovery. This is a freak accident that may not be recoverable. It ruined Shaun Livingston's career. He went from potential Hall of Fame to career role player. I'd hate to say it because I really liked the guy, but I don't think Paul George will ever been the same. This isn't a Derrick Rose injury. Paul George will never walk right. If he ever plays in the NBA again, it will be as a role player. The Pacers just went from first to worst in one off-season.
And to reiterate. This isn't a matter of losing speed or strength, like a ACL/MCL might cause. This is a matter of your body not being the same. I've seriously broken bones in half and they just aren't the same when they heal. I can barely bend my left wrist after I broke it so hard 10 years ago that my hand barely hung on. It barely bends now and will never bend more than it does now. That's what happens when you severely break a bone. And if you rely on your muscle memory and skill set, then you'll have to re-learn everything.
