I would actually get excited if they drafted this guy. Even with our OL Murray got a lot of yards by making the first guy miss and this guy does it consistently.

Reminds me more of Gio Bernard, who I thought would be great but is just okay.

Feel like RW was a much more physical runner and played at one speed - full throttle. Didn't see the stop-start ability Perkins (or Bernard) has.

So that's why I don't like him as a prospect.

I'd look at him as a third down back, no way in hell I think he'll offer us much as a runner though.

Ryan Williams rarely went down on first contact at VT.. Perkins relies more on his elusiveness. He isn't going to break many tackles at this level imo.

If Perkins is selected that means Elliott, Henry, Collins, Howard and Dixon are already off the board and none of them were taken by the Cowboys.

Ryan Williams rarely went down on first contact at VT.. Perkins relies more on his elusiveness. He isn't going to break many tackles at this level imo.

Then he needs to stop looking for contact which is displayed on film. I didn't see a single tackle broken when he searched out contact.
