Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald is a possibility for the Cowboys' first-round pick, reports draft insider's Tony Pauline.
Pauline cites "word at the combine" as his source for the scuttlebutt around Dallas' No. 16 selection. Donald is a decent three technique fit with the Cowboys, who will likely use the draft to secure Jason Hatcher's replacement. Florida State's Timmy Jernigan has also been connected to the 'Boys, but we wonder if the Bears (No. 14) will beat them to the punch. Donald ran an official 4.68 forty at the NFL Combine. Rotoworld's Josh Norris tabs Donald a top-20 prospect. The 6-foot, 285-pounder, who led the nation in tackles for loss last season, won the Nagurski, Bednarik, Outland, Lombardi and ACC's defensive player of the year awards. Feb 24 - 8:52 PM

So how does this work? Jerry and the gang are sitting around the bleachers at Lucas Oil stadium talking about who they're going to pick in May and somebody overhears them?

Lol seems like it huh.

If you listen to Jerry and Stephen heres what they basically said this week

Ware situation is big on what they decide to do
DT is a need but with RD1 talent OL could be taken over DT
Dallas could upgrade SAM
Dallas has young safties they like

TE will not be picked lol

We basically have no certainty at DL anywhere on the roster. Way to suss it out, Tony Pauline.

We are the only team in the NFL to have not drafted a DL in RD 1 or 2 since 2007…and technically that was an OLB (Spencer). If not him, we're the only team to have not drafted one since 2005 (Ware/Spears). Almost 10 years.

DL is the new OT. Time to break the cycle like we did with Tyron Smith.

Pauline sounds like a genius.
If it were me-the Cowboys would come out of this draft with at least three dlineman and a bunch more UDFA's. This group has to be priority #1 and it's not close.
