In my house, I have 3 computers. 1 PC, a Web/Database Server and a Video Server.

During the day, I allow my house to get up to 80 degrees. Is 80 degrees too hot for PCs?

No.

But it is a good idea to keep them dust free. Clean the dust off the power supply fans and other fans occasionally to keep the air flowing freely.

Start taking notice at 85... 85 is still safe but you need to keep an eye out...

One of my clients lost AC and when I got there it was 110 in the server room...

It wasn't a good day...

Yeah, up until a few months ago, I use to allow it to go to 85, but changed it when I came home and realized just hot 85 degrees is.

That is hot Mikey, I agree, but you CAN get by with it...

You were smart to lower the threshold... take no chances...

As long as the airflow in the computers themselves is adequate, I wouldn't think an 80 degree room temperature would be an issue at all.
