ESPN said if healthy he was a 2nd round pick.

Just like Scandrick last year - we stole him. Great pick!

I like that suit Stephen is wearing.
Really? It's hideous. A subtle navy plaid is a staple, but jebus, that's shiny and screams 1980s.

LOL @ "law firm of Hamlin and Hamlin at safety."
see that was a reason he picked him so he could sell it as "the all Hamlin safety tandem".

Someone asked how this draft compared to 1995 (Sherman Williams et. al.) and Jerry specifically said he didn't feel smug now like he did back then in thinking that players they drafted couldn't make the team. Said now he wants them to challenge the starters.

So can we put that to bed that we were only looking for backups?

Why is it a joke? He admitted that back then he thought the team was so good that most draftees barely had a chance at starting. Now he doesn't feel that way.

Maybe I worded it poorly, and I think I did -- I'm a little sleep-deprived.

Great tandem in college.

I love it when you can draft two teammates that are both good.

Smith will help with PR.

Mickens is a great find if he's healthy....I still have doubts. Sounds like something that will linger. I hope not.

We drafted all backups last season, and they were pretty darn good. Some of them had to start games last season and could be starters this season.

He also said he thought Troy would be around for forever, and didn't need to worry about that postion.

I think he has grown a little.

I'm not sure why you're saying that.

Right now there is a challenge at kicker... This is the most serious challenge that Romo has faced, albeit that it won't really get serious for another year or two. I can see this group of draftees challenging a folks at LB, S and Mickens will put some pressure on the corner group.

I wanted more linemen mainly NT and LT.

I also liked it when they asked Wade what he looked for in these DE to 34 OLB conversion projects, and he said after looking at them for so many years, you just get a feel for guys that can and can't do it. Not all of them can. But he said after watching Brandon Williams work out for them, he had "absolutely no doubt" he had the movement skills to be good at it.

I watched about half the highlight video Bleu Star put up on him and couldn't take any more. I have a real bias against QB's that would rather run the ball than throw it. However, I suppose this could be the wildcat option that was being speculated about the last few weeks.

That was not his choice that was Dennis's call and the offense he decided to run at A&M

I would have liked to have seen a NT get drafted also, but by the time the Cowboys were set to draft at no. 51 there wasn't anyone there who was going to be able to put any more "pressure" on Flozell Adams than what Doug Free can/could-- take that for whatever it's worth. You had some guys that could project to RT, but not LT, not in my opinion.
