I watched the debut of the tonight show with Conan last night. I actually really like the new studio and was glad they brought The Max Weinberg 7 along. PJ's new music is pretty decent as well.

Agreed, by far the worst part of the show. They need to get Andy out from behind that podium and back to the couch. He's useless if he's just going to stand there and laugh at Conan's monologue jokes.

Pearl Jam was a very good band in its day. That day isn't today, however.

Everyone is an entertainer anymore. Nobody jams out. Its all emo commercialized garbage.

You're obviously not looking very hard. The people that claim that one generation of music (usually the music of their youth/high school days) trumps all others, especially the new stuff....are missing out big time.

There is a TON of good music out there....you just have to find it.

Thermals, Art Brut, Hold Steady, three bands that JAM IT OUT. This is just what I've heard on the radio today. There are 100s of great bands out right now, you just don't have any knucklehead friends telling you what is cool anymore so you put up this "music isn't as good as it used to be" front.

Why is it that people think that if you don't embrace new music that your just stuck in your own time zone? It's as if these kids wern't teens in the 80's that I automatically hate them cause we have nothing in common.

Either you rock or you don't. A lot of the bands that I listen to still rock and happen to have been doing it for a long time.

I dont need anyone to tell me whats cool. Ill make up my own mind.

Unbelievable lineup for that weekend... DMB is playing that Sat night before PJ on Sunday. I think I'm gonna try to get down there too.
