While on the Jim Rome Show on CBS Sports Radio, guest, Packers’ DT Mike Daniels, talked about who he has come to blows with but highly respects because of it. Travis Frederick! Yes, Fred Beard was mentioned and spoken very highly of. Said he’s literally come to blows during the heat of battle and said there is so much respect between the two. Enjoyed hanging with Frederick during the Pro Bowl.

Also mentioned it was awesome playing along side Demarcus Lawrence and the other D-lineman that made it.

Thought I’d share a great interview with a pretty cool guy that mentioned a couple of our beloved players.

like with "Chris" Everet? He was cowering like a sissy when the player came after him then and he probably did the same here. My question is do sports players really hate having to talk to this guy? Only sportscaster I know where the players actually come to blows with

Not the easiest place to be employed. It's tough in the NFL trenches, but if you're not a dirty player you can generally garner some respect even in the fierceness of battle.

Jim is a character and has his own brand and style. He has his fans. I find him entertaining. My top 2 are Colin Cowherd and Romey. The “clones” help make the Jim Rome Show. He’s just a different cat, and tons of coaches and players from the sports world like him.

interesting

interesting. he comes off a little bit like an arrogant know-it-all type to me. I cant take him for more than 5-10 minutes. What he did to Jim Everett still confuses me. If ur going to attack someone expect some retaliation. He seemed shocked and cowered like a sissy. Both Everett and Frederick arent known for being aggressive towards reporters. I dk what happened with Frederick but Everett gave him ample warning - Rome continued being a jerk and deserved what happened. I just think hes an all talk no action bully. The type that got beat up a lot in school

I remember that interview vividly. It was a guy (Jim Rome) trying to go shock jock and make a name for himself. He did, and it worked out. Jim “Chris” Everett was not the last time he called out someone. He’s built a hardcore fan base that are brutal with words. But that’s it. Words alone. It’s a schtic that has remained.... love him or hate him.

Fred Beard does a great job and was a great pick for the Cowboys.
