Penalties Week 1

Oh so you're saying the refs were "biased towards Cleveland" in that they were heavy handed with calls against them. You seemed to be saying the Cowboys got shafted with subjective calls so I thought you were claiming the Cowboys were somehow special victims of officiating yesterday.
No, they made calls in favor of the Browns. Idk maybe "bias" isn't the word but Cleveland got the better end of officiating yesterday.

They missed the roughing the passer on the 2nd play (which was absurd after the ticky-tack hold on the first play) and then missed the DPI on the long pass to CD. That's 2 first downs and something like 70 yards worth of penalties in the first half.

Lol...but, the refs

It's just the first week, but penalties still persistent. It didn't bite us today, but have to clean it up, any thoughts on what MM can do?

Since McCarthy has been trying to fix the penalty issues for 5 years now, and still nothing has changed, I don't expect any changes to our penalty situation.

I thought it was a pretty well reffed game. Are you shocked?

On Thursday night we saw multiple penalties on the Ravens tackle for not lining up on the LOS. I thought that was a wake up call to the entire league. But when watching the Giants game, they never called it once despite the tackles being way off the line on every play. So what's the point?

Well, they also missed Carson arriving early playing through the back of Cooper on Cleveland's first drive on 3rd Down which forced them to punt. So it's as you said: The Cowboys got away with a few and so did Cleveland.

Talking about officiating in a thread about penalties. The audacity.
They're out to get us...again.

Browns should have had 87 holding penalties for grabbing Micah alone. Micah woulda gotten 20 sacks yesterday if not held, and been on pace to shatter Strahans record of 22.5 sacks in a season (or 21.5 without Favre cheapened the record by intentionally giving him one) and been on pace to have a 340 sack season.

If not for.....THE REFS!
