This is not an "excuse thread" so those who want to start throwing that crap around can save it.
I'm curious as to what our opponent's avg # of penalties/game is compared with the # of penalties called against them when they play Dallas. We know Dallas gets everything called againts them. Heavily penalized every year (some due to coaching and players stupidity certainly). I find it interesting that nobody seems to hold against us. They rarely seem to interfere with our receivers and "dirty" teams somehow become clean against us. I feel like penalties are typically around 10 for us and 5 for our opponent. Just how it feels. Maybe Adam or someone could check it out. It's hard not to think that the refs have a little something against us. If you're not a Cowboys fan, you hate the Cowboys. Most football fans hate the Cowboys. A good percentage of refs have to be fans too. Like I said before, this is not an excuse thread. Dallas is poorly coached and is consistently losing the turnover battle. It just feels like we have to overcome officiating every week as well.

We are historically more penalized than any franchise in existance since our inception. Hostile posted it in History Zone once before, I believe.

I remember a time where the Raiders were so good, they won games in spite of penalties.

Stats dont always tell the story. Recent example; Forte.

The lack of specifically defined penalties are a very sad and embarassing issue for the League as a Fan, but they don't seem to care near as much as an Organization.

Apparently controlling of the game and the players is more important than any real fairness.

Part of a GM's job is to bring things like penalty discrepancies up to the league office. Show film of our players being held and no calls made, etc.

Of course if you are too busy marketing a upcoming fight, concert or college game in your new stadium, maybe you don't have time.

We are a very undisciplined and stupid team with many undisciplined and stupid players. However, calling a penalty on a fat ***** past-his-prime tackle for falling on said fat *** is a joke.

Yes- some statistical analysis that shows if opposing teams are penalized significantly less when they play the Cowboys than when they play other teams.

We lead the league in opponents penalties per game, according to this web site. To be clear, our opponents get less calls against them per game than any other team. This could actually have its own thread.
