Doesn't there have to be movement or motion for there to be illegal motion? Go to the 48:48 mark on this video and try to find the illegal motion in that play.

It was called on guard Ed white, so he may have meant false start

None of that looked to be the case. But I can see where those two could be possibilities. Ed White didn't budge. Why would they call illegal formation on a guard? I watched that whole game. I usually pay attention to what the offense is doing. That's why I was surprised to hear illegal motion. I had to backtrack because I didn't remember seeing motion.
