Of the Cowboys’ 11 penalties for 82 yards, eight were on offensive players. Two penalties were on Owens for unsportsmanlike conduct (endzone celebration) and offensive pass interference, and another penalty was called for illegal formation on Tony Curtis. The other five were on offensive lineman Flozell Adams (2 for 15 yards) for a false start and holding, Leonard Davis (1 for 10 yards) for holding, Marc Columbo (1 for 5 yards) on a false start, and Cory Proctor (1 for 10 yards) for holding.

Two of the Cowboys’ three defensive penalties occurred on third down plays. Orlando Scandrick was flagged for illegal use of hands and Pacman Jones was called for pass interference in the end zone early in the second quarter. Tank Johnson was also flagged for being offside. Dallas did not have a single defensive penalty in the second half.

Terrell Owens PENALIZED -15 yards for Unsports. Conduct
Terrell Owens PENALIZED -10 yards for Pass Interference
Tony Curtis PENALIZED -5 yards for Illegal Formation
Flozell Adams PENALIZED -5 yards for False Start
Flozell Adams PENALIZED -10 yards for Holding

I don't know if I should applaud Gurode for not getting a penalty or chide him for going against the grain when his other linemen all decided to get theirs.

The Colombo vs. Adams race to 10 false starts is neck and neck.

:lmao:

What tripped me out was I was in the restroom when the whistle blew, and I said "false start, #76" before the ref did... and I wasn't even their to see the play. I just had this feeling. :D

I do the same thing when I watch the Raiders with my uncle. Every time there's a penalty I always call out "76" and most of the time I'm right.

#76 on the Raiders is Robert Gallery.

This is the only negative from this game in my view is once again having too many penalties. Other than that I was very pleased with the team

it seems like everytime Flozell gets a false start penalty,....we WIN!! or at least it seemed like it last season.

That's the funny thing about that guy... an absolute beast but always good for a few dumb penalties. You take them with his greatness I suppose.

I'll take Adams, Flo has much more experience and can maintain the effort over the course of the season.

Sometimes it's necessary to hold, if it will keep your QB from being assassinated.

I rather have a dominant OL who commits silly 5 yard penalties than a crappy OL that has a clean penalty record. =]
