Which offensive player for the Cowboys has killed the most drives with penalties this season?

("Killing a drive" is defined as the offense not picking up a first down or scoring after the penalty.)

One clue: It's not Andre Gurode, who isn't charged for a penalty when he forgets to snap the ball on the correct count and one of the tackles is charged with a "false start" even though everyone but Gurode was moving.

Alex Barron.

He killed 3 or so in the Washington game, right?

Painful as it seems, it must be Witten, or at least he's caused too many.

Does BIGG's holding penalty for a safety count as a drive killing play? :muttley:

I'd say Witten. Believe it or not, for all the crap people gave Flozell, Witten had more pre-snap penalties last year than Flo.

We have a winner!

I don't think Barron has played an offensive snap since the Washington game, but his three drive-killing penalties in that game are still the most on the team for the entire season.

Witten doesn't even have the most among the tight ends on the team. Bennett has killed two drives with penalties, Witten only one.

Colombo, Austin, Davis, Romo and Bennett all have two drive-killers this season.

They both had six pre-snap penalties last season. Flozell Adams easily led the team in penalties, penalty yardage and yards nullified by penalty, and he tied for the lead in drive-killing penalties.

I stand corrected. Just proof that the Barron trade was a huge disaster. Imagine how much of a difference just one more win would make for this team, right now, looking towards the end of the season. Ugghhh.

With all the false starts and offensive PI calls Witten has had, I'd for sure think it would be higher than 3.
