Everyone is blaming this and blaming that but in reality this whole season was lost because of an Offense that never had an identity. If you go back early last season we averaged something like 35 points a Game than everyone caught onto what Garrett was doing and he being inexperienced never adjusted and the Offense has sunk to 20.5 points per Game scored since this time. This is a 2-Touchdown per Game difference. If you pay close attention to the Games you'll notice there is no identity to this Offense. We really don't know what we are wanting to do. We are not a deep ball throwing team, we really don't have a very good short ball throwing Offense and the Running Game sometimes shows up and many times don't in critical times of need. The real problem is with Jason Garrett and his Offensive play calling, he is just not ready for the duties hes got. Also Tony Romo has regressed into what Bill Parcels said that his play is more of a Playground type Game rather than the NFL. Name me one thing this Team runs and does well on a consistent basis? Slants, Deep balls, short passing game or Running Game. You can't name one and if you say one of these than you haven't been watching the Games very closely. Our Offense turns the ball over way too much and makes our Defense look worse than it really plays. There has to be changes coming and I really believe the following should be changed:

Wade Phillips - good DC but can't motivate a Team as a HC, this is
why most of his Teams fall flat at Playoff time. Need
a stronger personality unless some Players are gone

Bruce Read - the Special Teams have been bad since he arrived

Brian Stewart - the Defense played better only after he was demoted
to not making the calls

Greg Ellis - Get him out of here, hes washed up and cries too much

Tank Johnson - Has done nothing since hes been here....OVERRATED

Brad Johnson - Washed up and should retire

Isaiah Stanback - Wasted Roster Spot and a waste of time

Roy Williams - Safety has lost his love for Football

Cowboys need to add: 2 Offensive Guards, Ball Hawking Safety and
a top notch QB capable of beating out Tony Romo
and making him accountable for his play

You say the main problem is the offense, but the suggestions you make are all on the defense or special teams?

Doesn't make much sense. There's one change this team needs -- firing Jason Garrett. The guy is a complete disaster that doesn't belong in the NFL.

If Wade resigned and was taken out of the spotlight and was just focused on defense. That would be excellent.

Pipe dream... but he should have never been HC. Its not his strength.

said it weeks ago.....dig the thread up....the UNDERLYING PROBLEM WITH THIS TEAM IS JASON GARRETT.....he got schooled by some of the games best in December. He was not match for the d-coordinators he saw in December. I wish like somebody would offer him a head coaching job just to save Jerry from himself. But Jerry is so convinced that Garrett is the real deal that he is going to let Wade twist in the wind next year to give Garrett a year to bounce back.

This team, like all teams, is a reflection of its management.

Dallas fans better get ready for local blackouts because Jerry's team is not going to be selling out Jerry's new stadium anytime soon.

It's the new reality.

I think Garrett was too easy to figure out, and ultimately was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, problems for this team this year but there is plenty of blame to go around to everyone on the team. There isn't one person who can escape any blame for this disaster of a season outside of maybe Jason Witten and D-Ware.

Under Red we've been 3rd (2007) and 13th (2008) overall in Offensive yardage. 2nd and 18th in scoring. This year's stats sucked but we did have BJ at QB for 3 games and over our last 4 games we played some great defensive teams.

Not that I think Garrett did a good job this year but I think that with the injuries and the meddling from Jerry that he faced some serious challenges.

To be honest, you hire a young guy and you are going to experience growing pains like this.

Hmmm. Among the starters, Gurode played well. Davis and Columbo were good. Ratliff too. Bradie James. T-New. Spears even.

Lots of good performers this year.

Is there a website or online petition that fans can signup to show how disappointed we are with this coaching staff?

I love Jerry because of his commitment but his ego is killing this team. I believe after 4 years of Parcells, he is having way too easy access to the team and doesn't want to give up all that and hire somebody like Parcells (all you guys who wanted to say, parcells didn't win, please stop. He built the team very well but was way too conservative). I am talking about gaining respect of the team and giving them that mental edge (we are soft like our michelin man).

If wade comeback, I bet we will end up 6-10 and Jerry would say he regrets not firing wade a year too soon.

Lets drum up the heat to get rid of this staff (all of it). I don't know how to, any ideas?

Last year we had Tony Sparano helping mold the offense. This year, it's all about Red. And it's been miserable. You can write off the 3 games that Brad Johnson had, but the game planning with Johnson just emphasized his limitations. Garrett used the same offense with Brad as he did with Tony. That's just mind-bogglingly stupidy.

Bottom line is this was a top 5 offense for two years in a row with Sparano, but without him, it's mediocre at best. With the talent on this offense, a monkey could have this offense in the top 10. But Garrett's a liability more than he is an asset.

Davis and Colombo played terrible the last two games of the season. Those last two losses, I'd say say that biggest blame goes on the O-line and the O-line coach. We had guys coming free nearly every play.

Right on, theo.

And how can the QB and receivers still not be on the same page on hot routes and the like? How can Tony start lobbing balls up into coverage when it looks like he's not even going through any reads? How can so many players on one side of the ball take a huge step backwards at the same time?

It's just incredible.

The jury is still out on Romo but Phillips looks like and even worse coaches like the Amish dude on the Quaker Oats box.

Grandfather Wade must go.

Garrett looks like Howdy Doody and has as much courage. He damn sure does not possess a pair big enough to address player confrontations. He had a test when Cancer Owens led the WR revolt over Romo throwing "too much" to TE Witten. Garrett should have stopped their whining about 30 seconds into the meeting and called both Romo and Witten into the meeting Settle that issue with ALL parties in the room!! Giving Cancer Owens his private venue to rant only splits the team further and gives Cancer the impression he can do this anytime he feels he is not getting enough balls thrown his way.

This collection of athletes - I will NOT use the term 'team" to describe the current COWBOYS - is a bunch of wanna-be finger-pointers more concerned about personal gains and publicity than any sort of silly "team" goal. Winning? Forget that; it is too "90's" for this bunch of characters. Just shine the light on ME and let me get MINE.

Jerrator has got some serious issues to deal with.

He needs to look in the mirror and decide if he wants sellouts in his new billion dollar baby crib for his "collection of atheltes". If so, he might give serious consideration to hiring a competent GM.

He then needs to hire Cowher or Billick or Holmgren to restore a bit of pride, attitude, and good old fashioned DESIRE with his prima donna athletes.

If Jerrator keeps Quaker Oats and Howdy Doody around then 2009 will be PAINFUL to watch. The only sellout will be the home opener.

Yes we won 13 games last season but lost in the playoffs. Other than that what have we done in the last 10 years?

We have not won a playoff game in forever.

We do not win in December.

We have an owner who is so egotistical that he will not fire a loser who just embarrassed a once proud franchise.

We have players who do not give a crap about losing. I mean have you heard Romo's "Oh well" attitude in his post game interviews?

Face it, we are no better than the Seahawks or Browns in all reality.

Does anyone really think we will win a playoff game next year with the same clowns at the helm.

Welcome to mediocrity.

Josh McDaniels is a young (very young) OC who has succeeded.

But then he had Belichick to set parameters, whereas all Garrett has is...Garrett.

Dallas has 3 very strong RBs (all possible starters). That is this team's identity: run first, run heavy. I think part of Garrett's problem may be that he still thinks like a QB so the pass is first in his mind.

I could be wrong...
